First of all ..... get rid of the girlfriend ...

I would be interested as to what the grade is. The western mountains are known for their steep grades, especially on the older highways. Also, the speed limit is like 50 on that stretch of highway, I think that maybe the speed I was driving had something to do with it. Oh, and I had the speed control set to speed limit. You might try that.....

Took two short trips during work to get Chinese food. The first trip to the Chinese place was in the mid 40s & the return trip was in the low 50s. Very nice. It was about 6 mile round trip. The weather is in the high 60s I believe.

Welcome to the Forum, glad you've found it helpful :)

It'll be interesting to see if you find EV+ to be harming your overall MPGs. The theory is that because when the ICE turns on the first time it runs longer to heat up the emissions components so and if you start that trip with a full battery you won't get the most bang for your gas consumption. If EV+ runs the battery down then when you first start driving the car will charge the battery back up to somewhere between 50% & 75% before it shuts off the first time which gets the car ready for maximum efficiency.

I'm not sure what I'll do with EV+. I haven't noticed any detriment to my MPG with it turned on or off :headscratch:

I hope all of the dads here had a great fathers day!

A couple of good numbers. Drove my son home last night (to his mothers) and had a good mpg trip. At one point approx 3-4 miles in the drive I had like 115 mpg lol :peelout: . The battery was almost full when I left and it was so nice out I turned off climate control and rolled windows down.

This is this mornings commute :shift: . Left the house with temps right at 70, battery almost dead and ICE cold. No A/C and windows down. Had one of those lights change right at that moment when you can't gun it because you will still run a red and so you have to slam on the brakes. Got a 44% score on that one which killed my average  . All of the other stops were 97-100.

I love this car!!! :happy feet:

The grade at least on the return trip was 2 @ 10% and 1 @ 12%. Those sides of the mountains had a few more sharp curves so I needed the breaks and couldn't retry the grade assist.

Overall trip mileage was 42.2 mpg in 218 miles running it pretty hard. I love this car.

Another Ruidoso run today. We left the condo and drove to Alamogordo (White sands monument, and the airbase). Got 64 going down (Stopped at Walmart at the bottom and turned off the car for the mileage) and 34 back up (again, stopped at Walmart for the trip home so the computer would start fresh for the return trip) for an average of 49.....

I love this car!

This evening commute :shift: home (to the gas station by my house actually) with it raining and I started with a very low battery. Not too bad.

This is my trip 1 when I filled up. I actually pumped 10.90 after 2 clicks which Fuelly has as 41.2 mpg average. Either way I'll take it!!

This is my lifetime since I reset it at roughly 5000 miles and it ha been steadily climbing.

It was time for a fillup and checking gas prices, the station in Sharon was .40 cents a gallon less then the local one nearby, so it was well worth the 23 mile round trip. 11.5 up and 11.5 back. Got 42 something there, and the above on the return trip. Also nailed the 100% brake score finally!

Saved over $4 driving across the border. Oh and looky below, gained 1 MPG on Fuelly too.

Not what I have been getting on my morning commute :shift: but considering it was raining with A/C on not too bad. Started with battery about 3/4 and temp at 67.

2 above EPA... I'll take it!

Bike was able to break 40mpg this fillup, probably because I didn't spill fuel when filling it this time, haha.

I've been hammering the throttle much more to get around traffic in rush hour. Highway trips yield closer to 45+mpg.

That's pretty awesome! Can you describe the 14 mile commute and how you got such high mileage?

It's a relatively flat (or so I originally thought) 2 lane country highway with speed limits mostly at 45mph. The drive home tonight started with about a 60% SOC because of the slope going into the parking lot at work and no AC because of a cool day. Today I hit the 1 major stop light with good timing and didn't need to stop.

As I've found over the past few weeks, work to home is slightly downhill, enough that I can feather it in EV mode to keep up the speed limit for about 4-5 miles. I've also learned the best places to time kicking on the ICE to maximize momentum.

There's 2 miles of city driving, but it's very flat with short blocks between lights so I can accelerate in EV mode.

The drive to work is slightly more uphill and my mileage there usually ranges 35-40 mpg on that screen. It all averages out to a decent mileage, but not as good as some others I see on here.
