erichFla Report post Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) That is not your car's real build sheet. You will find all sorts of errors, like less rear seat belts. Yes, I just Found a Big Error just now. I went back and Re-ran my Vin # again and there is NO Outstanding Field Service Action. It's Green this time when 30 Mins. ago it was Pink. just like the Pic. I posted, now it's Green. What's up with Ford, they can't make up their mind if they are going to fix it or not. Did you already print out your window sticker? If not just add your VIN to the end of this and paste it in the URL field on your browser... Yes I have the original window sticker off the car but it only says 505A Lux. Pkg but not what's in it. The Window sticker only says Leather steering wheel cover. Edited April 8, 2013 by erichFla

mmorri12 Report post Posted April 8, 2013 How did you folks get your Build Sheets ? My Dealer told me to go to Ford Gear dot com and buy it for $17.00. That doesn't seem right to me. I shouldn't have to buy my own car's build sheet. My dealership is giving me the run around already and all I did was call and ask about it. The Service Manager didn't call me back to schedule an appointment, just to look at it and take pictures, how hard can that be.Seems I made a BIG mistake of buying my car here. UpDate: I found out I needed to download Adobe Reader, I'm on a Mac. Your Build Sheet is on the FordEtis web site and it's FREE.Here is some of it and what it looks like for My Car. Notice the Outstanding Field Service Action. ok that's interesting. I got the same 13b03 service action but that site FordETIS appears to be a European site, or at least all of the links were for EURO contacts etc. also it listed my car the same as yours a "2002 transit connect" whatever that is. anyway to get this same info from an site State side? below is a copy and paste of my info. it appears identical to yours. Kaleido Report post Posted April 8, 2013 My dealer, service dept. was able to run a "Ford Motor Company - HVBOM, Features" report also known as a "VCIS" report. They did that for me in 5 minutes and printed it out for me for free. 2 erichFla and hybridbear reacted to this

storksb Report post Posted April 10, 2013 HURRAY finally got my shifter replaced this morning. Certainly looks way better than the urethane one. Glad I pursued this, thanks to everyone who has shared info in this thread on this topic. 2 GrySql and hybridbear reacted to this
darrel.e.wise Report post Posted April 11, 2013 Took mine in for an oil change today and while waiting they came out and told me there was a recall on my Fusion. 13B03 replace leather shift knob. Took an additional 45 minutes. Earlier in this thread I said I didn't mind the urethane shift knob, but since they had the part on hand, I told them to go ahead. So now I have the leather knob also and didn't even have to ask for it. 4 hybridbear, acdii, neod192 and 1 other reacted to this

erichFla Report post Posted April 11, 2013 Got mine replaced yesterday under the 13B03 recall notice Did you get a Part Number, same as everybody else here has and was it this one, Part #- CJ5Z7213FA.I know I'm going to have problems with getting mine changed, as the dealership I have to go to are not helpful at all. They won't even return my calls on getting a Service Appointment or even price me a spare tire.I'll just have to deal with them best I can. They are not a very good Ford Product Representative. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
mmorri12 Report post Posted April 11, 2013 (edited) i just called my service department and told him I understood there was a recall notice regarding the incorrect shift knob and gave him 13b03 and he called back and said he would have to order it and once it was in they'd call to set up an appointment. So it sounds like this is pretty well known and it shouldn't be a problem for you. if it is, maybe call Ford customer service and let them know of your troubles. brcd131 Report post Posted April 11, 2013 I got a letter from Ford about the shifter replacement. So it is an official Ford deal and should be no problem for anyone. The letter also covered the possibility of a sagging headliner which they said they would also fix if appropriate. 1 acdii reacted to this
GrySql Report post Posted April 11, 2013 We all need to thank GrySql for getting this issue resolved. His efforts reached near the top tier of Ford management.I think it's time to thank the person responsible for causing this 13B03 notice to be sent to the Dealers. Her name is Ms. Samantha Hoyt, the Fusion Marketing Manager. The short version:When I called my Dealer about this in early February not much was known about this issue at Ford Corporate. My Dealer's Fleet Manager called the Los Angeles Zone manager, who pushed this 'unknown' issue uphill to Fusion Marketing.Fusion Marketing asked where this info came from, I provided this Forum's 'Wrong shifter' topic URL, Fusion Marketing came here and read what we were discussing. When FFH's with the 505A package in Detroit were examined and found with the incorrect shifter as well, an immediate action was initiated by Ms. Hoyt. For me it was easy, my Dealer was told to replace my shifter. I even had a small email exchange with Ms. Hoyt, she was sincere and I was impressed. But Ford is a vast operation and this needed to be done 'through channels', parts procured, etc., hence the waiting period between the issue being known and the bulletin to the Dealers now. To me that is certainly an understandable condition, I worked in a big bureaucracy and am familiar with the process. Anyway, what I saw of how problems like this are cared about at the Ford management level made me happy with my car and those that produce it.Mistakes happen, a good recovery gets added points in my book. 4 B25Nut, darrel.e.wise, erichFla and 1 other reacted to this

I agree with mmorri12, you should report the dealer to Ford Customer Service if they are treating you like that. I'd ask Ford Customer Service to contact the dealer to initiate your repair. Or you can go to a different dealer if another is nearby 1 erichFla reacted to this
B25Nut Report post Posted April 12, 2013 I got my letter yesterday about 13B02 and 13B03. They are in effect until April 30, 2014 so there isn't a rush to get it done. Some have called this a recall notice but it is offically part of Ford's Customer Satisfaction Program. I'm going to wait until they have the offical fix for the the axle and have this and the shifter done at one time. My commute home last night, that has been averaging 39 mpg, was 45.6 mpg with most speeds ranging from 66-69 mph. The FFH just continues to make me happier and happier. 4 acdii, GrySql, neod192 and 1 other reacted to this

UPDATE on a couple of things: I got a call today, out of the Blue, from one of the Salesmen that showed us how to drive our Hybrid to get 47 MPG as he got 52 MPG in his test drive with us, him driving.Anyway, he called to see how we were doing and I told him the problems we were having with his dealership, he told me that was unacceptable and to see him if any more problems like that occur and he would personally take me to see the General Manager of this dealership and get it taken care right then and there. Also he said to bring in my car next Sat. he made the appointment himself and they would look at the problems I'm having including the shifter knob and battery not fully charging. He made a comment about the battery not fully charging when we were doing the test drive but since it was only a 15 mile round trip he passed it off as not long enough to get a full charge with AC, running fairly high speed and low temp. as it was a pretty Warm day. But by now it's never been fully charged since day one so it seems to be a real problem but we have not received any Battery warrnings on the dash readouts as yet.Hopfully my dealership will get on the ball and work things out with me.Also just wanted to say thanks to everyone with ALL this helpful Info here on the FFH Forum. 2 GrySql and acdii reacted to this
hermans Report post Posted April 13, 2013 Rarely does my EV battery show a full charge. I remember reading somewhere on the forums that was normal. The only times I see a full charge is when I'm using the brakes to recharge the battery and that is only after using the regenerative braking action extensively.
acdii Report post Posted April 14, 2013 That just means you are using it! :) Get it above 65 MPH and you will see a full charge eventually. On the 10 -12 models the only time you see a full charge is during a conditioning cycle or a really cold morning.

I didnt think it would be possible with running the AC all the time. LoL... You'll have to come down here and have Joe the Salesman to show you, I can't get 52 MPG or 47 either but he did. Here is one close to 52 MPG and picture proof. It's from David in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. See, it can be done. djminfll, on 12 Apr 2013 - 11:41 AM, said:Hey erich, I'm also in So. Florida, wanted to say HI! Where are you in So FL? I'm in Fort Lauderdale.I've posted before, since the weather is never too cold here, we don't have the same cold weather issues that most of the others posting on here deal with. My first fill-up was also in the upper 30's, but since then, I've maintained anywhere from 42-46mpg per tankful. My current overall average is 43.1. The longer you drive, the better you'll get at getting the mpg up in the mid to upper 40s. The best I've ever achieved was a 31 mile trip where I got 51.6 (pic posted in my gallery). Hope you love your FFH!DavidThis is David's Picture of His MPG. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/gallery/image/696-img-0382/ Edited April 15, 2013 by erichFla
