Lifetime average is 35.4 mpg. It has slowly decreased from 36.7 with the cold weather over the past month.

Mine was built on 10/30, but the dealer that I bought it from has one that was built on 10/2.

Mine was built on 10/9, but it never made it to the dealer until 12/26. "Quality Assurance Issues". Took possession on Jan 2 ( for property tax reasons) It went to Flat Rock for headlights then on to the dealer. They took their sweet time dellivering it also. It sat for 13 days at the rail yard which was only 1 hour from the dealership by truck. Absolutely love the car... but will never special order one again.

How is your gas mileage? Then again, you are in Texas where it is warm, and may not be affected by cold weather like us nordeners are.

At 4700 miles, the lifetime average is 36 MPG. Like I said in other posts, the water temp is usually about 182-185 so the MPGs are holding at about 36-37. On the rare occasion when the water temp gets to 195, then I see better MPGs in the low to mid 40s. Hoping that you can pave the way to getting the temperature problem fixed. We haven't had real cold weather here, so don't know how the car would perform if it got real cold.

Bet if you blocked your grill it would get better. I had mine blocked with ice and snow and it did no better. What I have found is that at 206* is when it is the most fuel efficient.

Just curious on who has the oldest Fusion Hybrid. Wondering when the first ones rolled off the line for resale. You can get your build dates with your VIN on http://www.etis.ford.com/fordservice/home.do;jsessionid=AAA0D16E01B8233FDB9675C50BDBA47F.fcvas511

I entered my VIN number at the Ford website link you gave, and it came up with the following:

Primary Features

Build Date: 04.12.2012

Vehicle Line: Transit Connect 2002-

Body Style: 4 Door Saloon

Series: Series 25

Engine: 2.0 4V DOHC PFI Gas/Electric

Transmission: ECVT Auto Trans Power Split S/Wir

Drive: LHD FWD

Axle Ratio: 2.56 Final Drive Ratio

Emission: 50 State Emission Requirements

Air Conditioning: Dual Zone Auto Temp Control A/C

Paint: Ruby Red TC

I checked and double checked that the VIN I was entering was correct. The build sheet listed on the website is correct and all of the header information listed above is correct with the exception of the first two lines. Obviously my vehicle is not a 2002 Transit Connect Van and it was not built 04.12.2012. Looking at my vehicle window sticker, it lists my 2013 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid as having a build date of 11/28/2012.

Interesting, I test drove a black 12/12/12 built one and it got good MPG. 40 with 10 minutes running at the gas station while it was being gassed up.
