The Scoop on JOB2 Start Date for 2013 - Fusion Hybrid Titanium and Energi

Recommended Posts

They are all there, just takes a bit of clicking the right links to find what you are looking for. I was looking for the OM for the Lincoln and found it.

I orded my Fusion Titanium Hybrid on 1/19 and my dealer told me today that it would be scheduled tomorrow afternoon. They also told me that the vehicle manufacturing location has switched from Mexico to Michigan.

Oooh, I like this Mexico to Michigan talk. Maybe that will help with quality control and with me getting my car faster.

My understanding has been that all hybrids would continue to be manufactured in Hermosillo, even when Michigan was ready.

Who knows what to believe anymore.

Maybe they are going to build the HyTi in Mi, the main line down south may be overwhelmed? Who knows, but I did see another 13 today!

Ford Guy says:
Have the builds for the fusion hybrid titanium been moved from Mexico to Michigan?
Carmella says:
At this time, the 2013 Fusion models have not been moved to our Michigan plant. We do expect the Fusion to start being built in the 2014 model year.
Ford Guy says:
to be built in Michigan you mean?
Ford Guy says:
When will the 2014 models be coming out?
Carmella says:
One moment please, while I check that information for you.
Carmella says:
I show that the 2014 Fusion models are expected to arrive in early September this year.

I guess I'll have the newest model for a few months and then it'll be old :-(.

This is the worst launch for a car ever. I remember seeing the new Fusion at the 2012 autoshow and being really exicted about it. How did they screw this up so badly, especially after all of the marketing. They need to ramp up production fast.

They really did screw up the Hybrid Ti launch. They should have waited until next year.

And with misalignments in trunk and dashboard to doors. I was looking in my parking garage today, and didn't really see a single car with such misalignments. Not to mention all the cars shipped with wrong shifters. All the misinformation in brochures...

I'm waiting...I think it will be worth the wait. I don't want to settle which is what I'd be doing if I got anything else right now...

According to the thesarus "balance out" is a synonym for cancel.

Thank you. That's what I was afraid of.

Ginger Ale was the only color I liked. Damn!

I wonder if it's internal Ford updates that go to dealers only, and the dealer rep copy/pasted it into an email for the OP?

Your dealer gets this and should be able to share it with you. I asked my dealer if it was OK to share and received a "yes". Didn't want to step on any toes. Every Monday, the Commodity Constraints email goes out to inform dealers what things impact orders.
