The Scoop on JOB2 Start Date for 2013 - Fusion Hybrid Titanium and Energi

Recommended Posts

Just got a call from my salesperson and my order has been picked up. Woohoo!

She doesn't really know much more right now, but she thought the build date was March 7.

She does not know my VIN number at this time.

That's Great! I am going to bug my dealer tomorrow and see if I'm in the pipeline.

I'm in exactly the same boat. Tentatively scheduled; however, well know for sure when we get through the formal process on Thursday. We should get a VIN, I hope.

Thank you. That's what I was afraid of.

Ginger Ale was the only color I liked. Damn!

I chatted with someone at Ford.com. Here is a quote: " In regards to the Ginger Ale exterior, this color has been discontinued for the 2013 Fusion model year. I do apologize for any inconvenience..."

I called my salesman at Galpin Ford. He has heard nothing of this. There is a Ford rep at his dealership today and he will find out more information on this and on scheduling.

I don't know if anyone else on this forum cares about this color. My salesman says a lot of his customers have ordered it, but I see very few in online inventories.

I'm considering Sterling Gray if my #1 choice is not possible.

I found information regarding the discontinuation of the color Ginger Ale at: http://www.donlen.com/production-cars-ford.aspx It may also explain why the Hybrid Titanium has been delayed.

Our special order Ginger Ale Fusion was delivered on 2/22, so if this rumor is true, i guess we were fortunate to get this color.

About time! So happy for those of you who chose to wait, that you will finally be getting your cars soon. I hope everyone loves theirs as much as I love mine.

I'm waiting...I think it will be worth the wait. I don't want to settle which is what I'd be doing if I got anything else right now...

I'm excited for all of you that are getting your cars soon. I wanted the HyTi but unfortunately my previous vehicle (2012 Lexus CT200h) was recently declared a total loss based on a brutal hit I took from behind on the highway. After wrangling with my local Ford dealer (Gilbert, AZ) and his continued broken promises, I found a Ford Fusion Hybrid SE with enough upgrades to satisfy me. I'll be picking it up in a cross state transaction in California this weekend while I'm out there for a wedding. I'm bummed I'm not getting the push button start or the feature where I can open the door just by being near the car, but I think I'll live.

MSRP was 33125 and I got it for 31125, so I'm happy with my negotiating.

Congrats again to those of you finally in the pipeline.

I just noticed the "8YR/100,000 Hybrid unique components" warranty on your sticker. What exactly are "hybrid unique components?" The battery, the regenerative brakes, the hybrid motor?

The push button start is nice, so is the not needed to use the fob to get in. Had those in the Camry, but if that's the only reason to get the Ti, you will be fine with the SE. The push button has its quirks, like if you forget to step on the brake and push the button, then think something is wrong because you cant shift the car. OOPS. been there, done that, a lot! LOL

I really would like the HyTi, not for the PBS, but for the Sony system. I could care less about all the other doohikies, I just like a good sound system that doesnt look like a hack job like aftermarkets do.

Only in CA, the rest of the country though is lower. I believe the Toyota ones are 125K miles. And yes, that is what those are, Anything related to the hybrid system, but I dont think the actual CVT is included, but just the electronics part.

I have A plan on my Titanium Hybrid. I received the $750 private cash rebate. Will I be able to combine the $500 rebate that every gets plus the $750 private cash togther to get a total of $1250 rebate?

I was able to do this with my deal. The salesman "locked in" the cash rebate price from Ford. At least that's how he worded it. I am still a little worried since the $750 rebate expires March 4th but he said it's locked in and that the expiration date won't be a problem.

Only thing is that I don't think the $500 rebate applies to the Titanium trim option. There are no rebates listed out there for the Titanium Hybrid model currently.

I hope that's not true because my dealer put the $500 rebate into my deal and my order is a hybrid titanium. He signed it so I guess I can sue if they don't follow through.

Better check with Ford - http://autos.yahoo.com/ford/fusion/2013/hybrid-titanium/rebates-financing.html

Doesn't come up when you build it and price it on Ford's site. That's Yahoo's site so I'm not sure how accurate that info is.

The fordpartner.com website shows a $500 on the SE and Titanium Hybrids. All other Fusions get $1,500 off.

Check the fine print on the coupon. Mine says "A/Z/D plans ineligible", so I can use it with X-plan.

I believe the 8yr/100K miles on hybrid components is everywhere. Or at least in AZ as well, which is where I actually live.
