B25Nut Report post Posted November 19, 2012 The following are the optional settings that have worked best for me. Of course, others may prefer something different:1. Make sure the MyFord Touch is set to display the time and not the date. For the Rear View Camera, activate the Delay option, which keeps the picture displayed until you go forward to 5 mph.2. For the left information display, I recommend that all the functions under My View in the Display Mode be activated, then set the Mode to Engage. This gives you all the information you need for efficient driving and braking, and makes the Green Leaves redundant, so that you can use that display for Audio and other info.3. In the Settings Mode under Driver Assist, make sure ECO Cruise is off and the EV+ Mode in on. Under Vehicle, turn the Easy Entry/Exit on. For Autolamp Delay, I set it to Zero. When you open the door, one of the front lights is dimmed anyway so there is no need to have the full headlight on (virtually the entire ground is illuminated 360 around the car when you open the door). I turn the Autolock Off and keep the Autounlock on. The Manual talks about Autorelock, but this is in the system as Mislock, which relocks the doors after 45 seconds if a door isn't opened. This should definitely be turned off. I also definitely prefer to have all doors unlock with the first push of the remote, and this is set under Remote Locking. Under Display, both the Brake Coach and Lifetime Summary should be selected on. 2 Nmadole and MXGOLF reacted to this
Nmadole Report post Posted November 20, 2012 Why would you want ECO Cruise off? So far I kinda like the feature.. am I missing a disadvantage? :)
salprint Report post Posted November 20, 2012 Same question as above
B25Nut Report post Posted November 20, 2012 When I set the cruise control to a certain speed, I want it to stay there. With Eco Cruise on and you start going up a hill, the vehicle will slow down significantly before the set speed is established again. It has always irritated me to have a car do this that is in front of me, and I don't want to do it to someone behind me. It may cost a mpg or two, but I live by the golden rule. salprint Report post Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) Good reason. I also like to be considerate of other drivers on the road. I find myself not using EV mode from a dead stop because it takes too long to pick up speed which irritates the guy behind you. Instead I let the engine kick in, and once I get to my cruise speed I let up on the gas and let the EV kick in, and I find I can hold that speed with just EV. Its kinda like the old Automatic transmissions when they first came out. You had to let up on the gas to let them shift to the next gear....in this case you are just letting up on the gas pedal to let the EV mode start and then maintaining that speed in EV mode. I must be doing something right because I've been averaging between 45-48 miles per gallon per trip to work, 30 miles each way and sometimes in backed up traffic. Of course this is in my C-Max....I don't have my Fusion yet...supposed to be in at the dealer tomorrow. Edited November 20, 2012 by salprint
B25Nut Report post Posted November 20, 2012 I only do EV starts when there is no one close behind me. I don't want to give the Fusion Hybrid a bad image, like some Prius drivers have given me. I was very surprised on my drive home last night. It seemed that I had very little all EV time but I ended up with 45.7 mpg.

acdii Report post Posted November 28, 2012 Eh, when they buy my gas, then I'll drive like them. That's what passing lanes are for. I set it at 60, if that aint fast enough for them on a 55MPH road, well, tough, let them waste their gas. The Eco cruise hasn't been a problem, the drops arent too bad, no more so than when I drive normally. Heck, the Adaptive CC has me slowing down more because of the numbnuts in front of me not being able to do the speed limit.
auser99 Report post Posted January 11, 2013 Is there a way to save these settings or have multiple settings?
B25Nut Report post Posted January 11, 2013 The left display will always begin at whatever it was set at the last time you drove. Empower or Engage are probably your best choices to be your "default" display. At any time you can switch to My View, where you create any combination of two additional readouts (Tach, Temp, Range, MPG, etc).
