got a call from dealer today saying ETA is the week of 12/11 which is like 2 weeks after build date. looks like maybe getting faster or could be due to large market of chicago being easier to mass ship to so just quicker

Mine was built on 12/4 then went to the "body company" and came back ready to ship on the 6th.

Still awaiting shipment as of today. ETA 17th has been deleted and now TBD.

No work to be done according to Etis.

I'm concerned that the 18" tires are going to be other than Michelin LRR and mileage will suffer.

But I'm sure looking forward to getting it in my hands.

was built 11/26 and picked it up 12/11 love the car and how it drives. still working on getting a good mpg average. i am starting to think that the 47mpg was with radio off, no heat, no headlights ect lol. right now average is at 35mpg btu i was getting 39 before i took it back to dealer friday to have the rustproofing/scotchguarding and stuff done. while they had it average dropped from 39 to 35 so they must of just had it idleing for a while or something. as i noticed the other night when i was at 39 and sat in parked car for like an hour setting the sirius stations and getting the damn garage door opener set that it dropped to 36 had to work all day thursday to get it back to 39 lol. do alot of short driving trips for work and get alot of trips in the 40's and even had one hit 89.1mpg for a 1.5 mile trip where i barely had gas kick in starting from a stoplight before getting it back into ev. haven't taken it on highway yet.

I ordered mine on Nov. 11th...it had a build of 12-11..I was expecting to have it deliver by Christmas. It left the plant on the 15th of December than was shipped back to the plant. Ford said my car was not recalled but was on the train with other recalled cars so back she went....Than I was given an ETA by Ford's customer service of January 20th.....As of today January 24th..the car finally landed in NJ and is waiting for transport to NY...Their is still NO ETA!!!

Back in the 1980's I use to order a new Co. Car from Ford every 18 to 24 months...when the car was ordered they gave an estimated eta and four weeks prior to delivery they gave an exact date of delivery. This is the worst delivery performance schedule of lack of .....of any car I have ever ordered. How can Ford not know when their cars will deliver. I am in sales and set my travel schedule in advance 4 to 6 weeks. Not even knowing week of delivery has been so frustrating.

Even today January 24th with the car landed in NJ and no longer on the train...they still can not give an eta...........

The dealer could have the car "hot shipped" from the rail yard...if they wanted to. Mine was and I received it the day after it arrived at the rail yard. Ask your dealer.

Well I just received the best call of all. Ford corporate customer service called and told me my car was not built yet...The car was not only built but also just landed in New Jersey...she than called me back and left a second message saying she might be wrong she thinks it was built but has no idea of the eta...she would call me in a week and let me know if she can find out when i will receive it....I have a feeling the next call will be after i am already driving the car that she will be close to an eta....

The new cars I've purchased so far: 1976 AMC Hornet, 1980 Chevette, 1986 Buick Somerset, 1991 Ford Tempo. They all seemed like good ideas at the time, but every one turned out to be a new car purchase from hell. I was kind of hoping the 2013 Fusion would mark the end of that run, but now the wait is killing me. Seemed when I was buying sh*t, I got it right away. I'm hoping the long wait this time will be a good sign.

1-28-13 I picked up my car today...And after waiting so long with such poor communication regarding my cars delivery.......... :) .I love this car and she is worth waiting for..... :) :) MY dealer was great.....they fully agreed that Ford needs to communicate better both with their dealers and their customers...but all in all this car is so worth waiting for... :yahoo:The ride, the performance, the technology and the gas mileage...can't be beat....My first ride today was 107 miles....long island expressway, gw bridge...nj turnpike....so combination of stop n go...highway, bridges....and a little snow....average 40.7 mpg.....LOVE THIS CAR...and she is really pretty too... :yahoo:

Congrats! Glad your dealer was as helpful as possible... it was just a couple days ago that I started a thread about the post-purchase survey, where I gave my dealer high marks. I think another user wrote that he/she gave dealer high marks but slammed Ford - sounds like you will be doing the same!

Ok, I'm in! Ordered 12/3/2012, built 1/7/2013. At dealers on 1/23 but I was out of town so didn't pick up until yesterday (1/28). Tuxedo black, dune leather interior.

I was just advised that mine is on a train somewhere. I have no idea how long the average built to delivery date is, but I was told that since I ordered it w/o a lot of options, it bypassed a lot of the build delays many have experienced.

PattiJ39 - long island expressway, gw bridge...nj turnpike.

I've made that trip way to many times. I do enjoy the ferry trip from LI to Conn and back.
