build date to delivery timeframe?

For those of you that have gotten your fusions when was the build date and delivery date? just wondering how quick that have that turnabout at now that I have a build date of 11/26. hoping it'll be a nice xmas gift delivered lol

I never had a build date.

I had a ETA of 11-19-12.

That changed to 11-17-12.

The delivery was today 11-12-12.

Pick up after detailing.

My build date was 11/5, it shipped the next day without an ETA. Today I found out it is in Chicago (240 miles from my dealer)

and it now has an ETA of 11/21. If it makes it by the 21st it's 16 days from manufacture date to delivery. There are alot of people

who have had their cars built for over a month and they are still at the plant or at Flat Rock.

well the ones that are still not delivered were some of the first built that had that defect that is being slowly fixed and sent out that is the problem with that 20,000 or so cars and why the line in general was shut down in mid september for a bit. cars being built now are heading right out. and it shouldn't take more than a week to get it from chicago up to the land of cheese. you should ask them if they can drop it there and you come get it lol. Being I live in Chicago I also have that bonus that cars shipped via train to the midwest all come through here due to the large rail hub yards we have. so chicago dealers seem to get thier cars delivered fairly fast once shipped from what i have heard.

There are alot of cars that were built in October (after the shutdown for the body panel die retooling)

that are still in Mexico or Flat Rock. I believe it depends on what options your car would have.

Evidently, my car didn't have any of the options that the "other issues" pertain to. It's pretty hit & miss

and what the other issues are.

Mine was built 10/31...just got a delivery date from my dealer of 11/21

looks to be around 3 weeks from build to delivery for the most recently built cars. guess I should be looking at a 12/17 delivery about. so about a month to go :)

Hey great, you got a build week! As to when you will see it, I guess that depends if it gets caught in the glut of other cars moving (glut since many of / all of those held Fusions will still be out there I bet)... however Scott029 had his bult on Nov 5th, shipped on Nov 6th, and was on a rail car one state away on the 13th with an ETA of the 21st... whether he has it in the next couple days we will see, but he may have been lucky to have this get onto a rail car the next day instead of sitting for a few days to get consolidated onto a rail car/train headed to his region.

 

So having a nice Christmas present for you might be a stretch, but maybe a Happy New Year celebration???

Ordered mine 10-15 and just found out today it was built 11/21. No delivery date yet, but I'll post when I know to keep the group informed of typical lead times!

I placed my original order 1 day before another member on here, however his build date was 4 weeks before mine. So at times there doesn't seem to be a lot of logic in how the things are scheduled, however I bet there are a lot of variables like packages/options/colors/wheels/etc on a given order, so it's not just the date of the order that comes into play.

Also the size of the dealership can effect when it is built from my limited understanding, their allocation etc.

Yes, the volume of the dealer can affect the time. I have a delivery date of 12-4.That is exactly 8 weeks from the order date.

My Hybrid SE was built the week of 5 Nov and ETA was changed from 19 Nov week to TBD. Still reads TDB and Customer Care has been no help with even a case #.

My build turned out to be 11/28 and the ETA is 12/17 so just short of 3 weeks.

Looks like I get my early Christmas.

Ordered back in June.

Build date: 10-31-12

I was told mine was built on the 11/26 by dealer. Ford ETIS site says 11/29 but as of Saturday dealer said ETA is just December. No exact date yet.
