Window Sticker

Received our window sticker today. Now how long before production? Here is the link for window stickers. Just edit with changing the VIN from mine to yours. Once there is a window sticker available for that VIN it will work.

What is the significance of the "window sticker"? What does it mean when you get it?

Means you have a VIN assigned and build date is "normally" within a week or so... unless you become 'TBD' I guess!

Also confirms the build you specified when you ordered it from the dealer.

Your dealer has your order number, and if the salesman is worth his/her salt then he/she will be checking this regularly (I think it may update on weekly cycles), and if so once they see a VIN they should be contacting you.

 

This is how it happened to be in 2009 when I had my 2010 FFH on order, salesman called me on my cell and said "I just wanted to give you the update that you now have a VIN number assigned, it is XYZ, and your car should be built this coming week."

 

So if the above doesn't occur, you could bug them once a week or so, but then again they should be doing this without being prompted.

Thanks to Hermans on another post.. and link.. I was able to print up my window sticker this morning... so exciting!!!

My window sticker was created recently. The section on the Research Maniacs page about this that describes how to find out the build date doesn't seem to apply to my sticker. Can someone find it for me? Here is the sticker link.

The date on the sticker is the sticker date.

The build date is approximately 7 days later but until it is actually built the date can change.

A day or two after it is built ETIS will give the actual build date.
