Molded Splash Guards

I have a 2010 Black SEL and was wondering if the splash guards help at all with side body spray from water. Now that it's winter up by Lake Michigan my car stays clean for about an 5 minutes so I didn't know if anyone out there can let me know if it's worth the money for at least front guards.

I just bought a set. of molded ones for the front and some ones for the back from the dealer with the Logo on them. Gonna try to put them on my car tomorrow maybe. I am suffering the same problem you do! Lol

All they really do is keep a few rock chips from happening. Nothing is going to keep your car clean in the salt/snow season.

Has anyone installed these mud guards and noticed the rear mud guards don't fit the contour of the panel? I have about a 1/4" gap toward the bottom that I'm thinking about filling with some door edge guard (as long as it turns out not to look as cheezy as the gap FoMoCo left).

We had the molded Ford mud guards installed on our new 2013 FFH. They fit perfectly and are protecting nicely. They were installed by our dealer, should be an easy home install. No drilling. They use the same screw holes already there.
