Tire rotation and vibration

Recommended Posts

Rotated the tires on my 2010 Sport (10K miles). Now the car has a vibration at 50-60 MPH. Not RPM or gear sensitive, happens going straight or turning, dry or wet road. All lugs torqued, and pressures equal and correct. Anyone else experience this or have suggestions? Thanks.

It might go away after some driving. I emphasize "might." Also, now that it's gotten pretty cold I notice that these Goodyear RS-As tend to flat-spot. I have a vibration at those speeds also, but it goes away once they warm up.

I believe you've got it. I took it out on 84 and after a few miles at higher speeds it went away.

Good to hear.

Adding a few pounds to your tires will help with the flat-spotting. You can safely add 3-4 lbs over stock pressures but watch for uneven tire wear.

I keep mine at 37. It's a little difficult to tell if these RS-As are wearing unevenly because they looked worn out on the edges when they came from the factory  No undue center wear, though.
