DR SAW Report post Posted October 22, 2010 1. I am having trouble finding EXACT instructions for the phone icon on my steering wheel. So far I have figured this out: I think if I hit it once, it redials last number. Hold it down while on a call, and it will hang up. So, any other functions? Privacy (mute) 2. Is there a way to set in-call volume to max as a default? I have to increase volume via paddles ever single call. Thanks!!!
Buster1 Report post Posted October 31, 2010 I think that is it. I adjust vol of the call with the dial, but it works the same as on the steering wheel. It should also auto mute when a call comes in, or you put it in phone mode.
xmech2k Report post Posted October 31, 2010 1. The first time you press the phone button changes the system to phone mode, and it happens to be at the redial 'page', shown on the radio screen,(At least without nav) but it's waiting for a command. You can the press the Sync button and tell her what to do. I guess if you press the OK button it would redial, or you could scroll with the buttons or whatever, but who wants to do that when you can just tell her what to do? 2. Strange, I find my phone keeps the same volume I left it at. Unfortunately, I find I have to turn down the phone volume quickly after a call, before it reverts back to radio or whatever, or Sync will YELL AT ME next time she comes on. i think Sync and phone volume are the same, separate from the music, but phone volime is also affected by the actual volume you set in your cell phone. While my cell phone is at a comfortable volume when used itself, it's low when talking through the car. So I always have to turn it up when placing a call, after Sync is done talking, and turn it back down before it reverts to the previous activity, as i already mentioned. Kind of a pain, but I remember when I used to jam out to the AM station through the single speaker on top of the dash, and cell phones????? So I won't complain much....
