94-04 Mustang Wheels on 07 Fusion

im more of a mustang person, but going to college, i had to get a 2007 fusion. its an se with the appearance package and it has a shake to it when you get to about 55 mph. im thinking a wheel is bent or the tires are junk because i took them and got them balanced and still no luck. so im looking at getting some bullitt wheels of an 01 bullitt, 17x8 with 245/45/17s. i had an old 97 gt wheel sitting in back and i put it on and i had no clearance issues or anything, they fit good, but stuck out maybe 1/4" or so. has anyone put the 94-04 mustang wheels on their car or do you use the 05-up wheels? i dont have an 05 wheel laying around or i would try it. any help would be much appreciated! thanks

The 2005 and up will probably be a better match. The bolt pattern, 5x114.3 is the same throughout the years, but the offset has changed over the years. The newer Mustang wheels have a similar offset to the Fusion. You need a high offset on the Mustang wheels. I am not sure of the centerbore size of the Mustang, if it is larger, then you will need centering rings to mount them on the Fusion.
