jalocker Report post Posted July 31, 2010 I've got about 7000 miles on my hybrid, and I have noticed that the system has reset itself a couple of times already. Normally, you're supposed to navigate through the menus and reset all of the stats that way, but I have noticed that the system is reset by itself when I start the ignition. I've also had to follow one of the other threads here and disconnect and reconnect the SYNC fuse to get the USB port to work again. Has anyone else seen this sort of behavior? Is this normal, or could I have a significant electrical problem that is just now emerging?

Look for the thread labeled "First Display Glitch." Several others have experienced this same problem; it's a software glitch. Presumably it affects nothing but the dashboard display, and the dealer will fix it if you complain. One wonders why it's not part of a more generic recall - or why they didn't instruct the dealers to perform this fix at the first 5000 mile checkup. I wonder if they have a fix for that infernal USB problem. I really don't want to have to reset the system by taking the fuse out again.
OskiO Report post Posted August 17, 2010 Just got back from the Ford dealer. If you are having this issue take your Fusion to the dealer and have them pull TSB 10-15-5. It deals with this reset and has a "fix" C

toolman1 Report post Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) I am having the same problem and I today left my car at the dealer for its 11700 mile checkup and I thought the system would be reset during the check -up. But tomarrow I'll call call the dealer and discuss the reset fix in TSB 10-15-5. This the second check I've put the fusion into the dealer for a check up, the first check was approximately 6000 miles and I had them do a software upgrade. However recently the same reset occured giving me an mixed and lower mpg and changed changed the empower gauge on the dashboard. Agood bump in the road would cause everything to reset. You may want to check this out. Cheers,

ICEY Report post Posted December 17, 2010 Mine has done it a few times. Always resets to the default display. And yes mpg readouts average and long term always go way down. I'll check in to the TSB number.
mikepieronek Report post Posted December 28, 2010 I have a Mercury Milan Hybrid. I had the Long Term Mileage reset problem happen to me. My dealer said there was a TSB about it. He installed the new software today. I do notice a difference. When you get your mileage report card at the end of the trip I now have fuel used displaying hundredths instead of tenths of a gallon. Too soon to tell if there are other differences.

When I reported the reset to my dealer, the TSB had not been created again. Does anyone have details about this TSB? Is there a firmware upgrade? Did it come out after the "Brake software" upgrade? :eek5:
