Usually if your smelling anti freeze in the car a lot of the time its from a bum heater core. Check your passenger floor, that's usually where the coolant leaks to. Thanks anyway....I like to check with forums to see if their is a reaccurring problem with these cars.....Although I'm a FORD FAN, I am leary on the ASSEMBLED IN MEXICO label. I haven't been having luck with the 2010 Fusion.
xmech2k Report post Posted July 24, 2010 Sorry you haven't had as much good luck as so many other people. Anyways, you may just have a real small leak from a loose hose or something. It doesn't take much hot antifreeze to make a stink, and then it could evaporate and not leave a whole lot of evidence. I assume you let the dealer know as well as us? Have they found anything there? How's the shuddering going? Are they just going to have to throw the whole thing in the dumpster and get you another one? :sos:

Still no news with either problem I have with the shudder & antifreeze... It's not really nice to be paying on a 2010 Fusion & driving a focus for a week.....THIS SUCKS.... Got my car back....they found a loose clamp on one of the hoses just enough for it to steam out but not leak enough to cause a puddle. Coolant was a little low.....As far as the shudder...They can't replicate it again to do anything about it.....He said to bring it in again "immediatily" when I feel it again......VERY SAD......This is a great car except for that damn shudder....
