TX 2010 Ford Fusion Sport Report post Posted July 2, 2010 Just wondering why you want to change the nav unit to a dvd player. Why do you need to play dvd's at the front of the car?
Howie411 Report post Posted July 2, 2010 Just wondering why you want to change the nav unit to a dvd player. Why do you need to play dvd's at the front of the car? The NAV system already plays DVDs, you just got to be in Park or you only hear audio.
xlricklx Report post Posted July 3, 2010 I have a small one who sits in the middle in the back and on long trips its very helpful not only for him but wife also. Howie411 thanks! I found a product on eBay. There is a company named Pac and makes a product that might work. Anyone have experience with this?
oldschool1962 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 There are a couple "lock picks" available. Here is another link. http://www.coastaletech.com/ We are looking at this one.....but what I would be very interested in is a splitter for the nav screen input. This would allow us to add an additional screen to the rear and just use the existing system to power DVD's for trips. It may not even be possible but hey....ya never know.
