2010 Fusion Car Cover

Recommended Posts

Has anyone purchased a car cover for their 2010 Fusion yet? I'd like a custom one just to use outdoors on occasion, not really for storage. I bought one years ago for my 350Z and it's perfect but can't remember where I got it. I can't find anything out there for the Sport, just the S, SE and SEL. Anyone know of a good one?

What would be different that any of the S, SE, and SEL would not fit a Sport?

Hi Fusion10. :D In my opinion, the best custom car covers are made by Covercraft LINK: Covercraft. They do not sell directly to consumers, you must purchase through their retailers. I purchased mine through California Car Covers LINK: California Car Covers There is a long list of sellers available. There are many other sellers of Covercraft products and many materials designed for specific uses. Keep in mind that a good quality custom car cover is not cheap. However, you do get what you pay for, so if a person buys a cheap "one-size-fits-all" car cover...that is what you'll get.

There are many types of materials that vary according to intended use (indoor, outdoor, combination of both, softness, necessary UV protection etc etc.. I have the WeatherShield material. There are newer and more advanced materials available now than when I purchased my cover.

And just as an FYI for those wondering: While small differences in vehicle dimensions do not matter in the case of loose fitting generic car covers, those differences do make a big difference in custom car covers (such as those made by Covercraft). Just the difference in front air dam depth, side skirt depth (like those on the Sport model), or spoiler versus no spoiler on the rear will turn a great fitting cover into an ill fitting one, if not properly compensated for in the cover sizing. For example, a custom car cover will be sized differently according to whether the particular model does or does not have a rear spoiler.

Fusion10, I would recommend you visit the Covercraft website. There you can find the appropriate cover for your needs and also find an approved retailer. You can also check out the California Car Cover site, as I would recommend them. Their service was excellent.

In addition, if they do not list the Sport, call and speak to their Customer Service Department. It is possible that they have a cover for the Sport, but the website simply does not list it yet. And if they don't, your call will help to let them know there is a demand for one. :shift:

Let us know how you make out.

Good luck. :beerchug:

I bought one off the shelf car cover from Vatozone, and it barely fit the Sport, it did not cover the bumpers entirely do to the bumpers being a bit larger. I dont recommend using one of the boxed ones, the material is not that great and if there is any moisture between the cover and car, and it gets cold, it will stick to the car. I wound up ripping it after it frove to the car after it snowed.
