What performance mufflers pair good with with the 3.0?

I would like to eventually put exhaust on my '08 Sport and I was wondering what kind of mufflers pair well with the 3.0 to give it the perfect sound? Borla,Flowmaster,Magnaflow,etc,etc,? This could help me in my search. Thanks, Brent

Hi 20Fusion. One persons "perfect sound" is fingernails on a chalkboard to the next person.

 

In general, what I have heard goes like this: Borla, low and mellow sound, perfect for the non racer-boy but expensive. Magnaflow, louder than Borla, not as mellow, maybe a good middle ground between sound and price. Flowmaster, loudest, and some people complain of a droning sound at highway speeds that becomes aggravating over extended periods.

 

Again, it is impossible to tell what another person may like, but I hope this helps.

 

Me? If I were to replace the factory exhaust (which I would not, since it is a very good system), I would go with the Borla,

For what its worth I first put a Flowmaster on my previous vehicle and it rotted out within 2 years. I then switched to a Borla sytem with a "million mile" warranty and it was still perfect when traded in 6 years later.

ive heard the magnaflows were a little too loud for my taste...flowmaster delta flow 50 series is not bad but i dont think they last too long!!! Borla is a good balance of sound and quality not tooo loud. If you keep your stock resonators the sound will be very close to stock but with more power. its all about preferance...
