My FFH with Spoiler and 18s

Installed the spoiler from Ebay. I was amazed at the quality of the spoiler and paint when I got it considering how cheap it was.

Looks great... nice appearance.

I'd be concerned about one bad hit with a pot hole with those 18s, though.

The tires are 45 series, that's plenty of protection. Plus the ride is smoother with the Goodyear Eagle RS-A 225/45/R18 tires

 

I Carpool to work and the guy who rides with me every day said it seemed smoother to. I think the stock fusion wheels are a harder compound for better rolling resistance

The paint quality is great, I was worried initially ordering mine because the green has a lot of pearl in it but it's a perfect match.

I just bought the same Tuxedo black FFH fully loaded. Love the look, the stitching on the leather, the Sync/Nav system and gas mileage.

 

got a few questions:

 

1. Was the spoiler hard to install? (I am a bit worthless with tools)

 

2. Did you tint the front windows the same color as the back (tintiing is a must as it makes the car look even better).

 

3. What did you do with the tires the car came with? 18s look great but it feel so wastefule to just leave the stock 17s and rims in the garage.

1. If you look under your trunk you'll see 4 circles, 2 on each side. Just drill a hole in each of the 4 circles. It is scary drilling into a brand new car though :)

2. 35% tint front and back

3. Not sure what to do with the stock wheels/tires. I might sell them.

If your new 18's are a performance summer tire and you live in snow area, use the OEM wheels for snow tires. That will give you great traction in the winter, save milage on your 18's and make rotating tires a breeze! (2X yearly) I did this (but I live north of Va) and didn't bother with TPMS for the winter wheels.

bougth them for $700.00 with minor curb rash.

 

here is a set from the same seller for $899.00 with no curb rash, new tires 95% tread left and TPMS sensors

Did you notice any drop in MPG with the new 18s? I've been thinking about replacing my FFS's rims too, but I'm wondering how much of a hit it will have on mileage.

maybe a little (2 at the most), I'm still averaging 42MPG commuting 35 miles each way on 66 in Virginia.
