Sirius subscription problems

Yes mine expired 6 months ago and started working again last week. Sirius radio works again even though it tells you that subscription is out. I'm guessing they are trying to get more subscribers by giving us free service for a short period of time. Not gonna work with me. Travelink is good for work commute but not essential and I can do with local FM radio or my flash drive mp3's

I have the lifetime Sirius subscription but got email saying they turned the travelink back on till June 6th I believe the date was trying to get me to buy that too. So I'm guessing they turned on everyone or at least fairly current X customers trying to bring them back.

I got year for about 90 bucks and pretty happy about it. Love to listen SAT radio. That is only radio where you can select your favorite channel in Toronto, drive all the way to Florida without having to search every 20 minutes because of lost signal.

I don't think travel link would be any beneficial but music definitely is. Can't regret enough for not taking NAV though.

It looks like most of you who used the expiry tactic are from US. Has anyone from Canada used that tactic successfully? My 6 month trial is up end of the month. All I have gotten so far in the mail is $15/month.

 

I have let mine expire twice since I got my new fusion in November of '08. I'm from Canada (Northern Ontario actually) and the last one that I got was 6-months for $45.00 (or pay for 3-months, get 3-months free). My current subscription expires on June 15th...I am NOT renewing this time, the sound quality is brutal, the song repeat factor is a joke on all of the music stations. IMO, Sirius will be out of business sooner than later.

Sirius allowed my complimentary starter subscription expire with little recruitment effort! Two mailings several weeks later and no phone calls.

Just as well, as all I wanted was the Travel Link minus the audio - that's a deal they aren't prepared to make! Four months later life is just fine!

 

My (only 60-day!) demo expired without notice or contact from Sirius. When I called and asked for traffic only, they gave it to me for 1 year @ $20.00. That was back in July. And someone there forgot to turn off the radio access, so I still have it, even though I don't really ever use it. Maybe you should try again asking for traffic only.

I enjoy having Sirius radio and listen to it almost exclusively. When I purchased my FFH, I traded in a car that I had a Sirius subscription for. Sirius was very helpful in canceling my old subscription and even gave me a refund for the unused portion - something that I really didn't expect them to do.
