fordfever Report post Posted February 12, 2010 I noticed that the outside of the rear window for my FFH does not have any rubber lining around it. When you look at it you can actually see the edge of the glass top to bottom, so there is maybe a half inch of space between the edge of the glass and sides. This is the first I've ever seen with any car. Makes me wonder if it were to rain if it would leak through I've tried looking for close up pics on the net but couldn't find any close ups. Could some of you guys and gals check your FFH to see if you see what I see. I hope mine is not missing anything where the gap is.

There is discussion on this subject under the window tinting topic.

CSC_Crunch Report post Posted February 13, 2010 My FFH has a rubber seal at the bottom of the rear window, but half of it has come lose (to be fixed at next service). I have had the windows tinted and will be moving to replace the wheels next!
Ranger_Rick Report post Posted February 14, 2010 This is how they are built. Some Ford trucks are similar. Take a walk around a mall parking lot; a certain number of cars will be constructed this way.
fordfever Report post Posted February 15, 2010 I guess I haven't noticed this on any car, not that I was paying any attention. The last car I had was a Nissan Maxima and was used to seeing this everytime I washed it. Seems like I'll be noticing a lot of things with this new car. I love my FFH.
