jmy2469 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Was just wondering how good the Sony 12 speaker system is in the Fusion? I have a 2008 Mustang GT that is a lease. Thinking about getting into a new Fusion Sport AWD. That is the system you get when you select the Navigation option correct?
ravenzfusion Report post Posted December 21, 2009 i have this sony 12 speaker system in my 2010 sport and i am impressed with it. being the audiophile i am, its good but not perfect. its good enough for me that i feel i will only have to add one 10 inch sub in the trunk. at least i wont have to dump much money into the audio system Was just wondering how good the Sony 12 speaker system is in the Fusion? I do get the lower frequencies of a sub, but I was surprised it wasn't coming from the back, but from the front. If that bass is coming from the door speakers, I'm very impressed. The system sounds so good (for me), that I'm in no hurry for the added sub.

FtLewis2002 Report post Posted December 22, 2009 It sounds great for a stock system.
BluHvn Report post Posted December 22, 2009 I agree, the system is quite good for a factory set-up. I would consider adding another sub in the future. You can't go wrong ordering it as part of either the nav or moon & tune package.
mgbabe Report post Posted December 22, 2009 I too am happy with this factory Sony system. In Canada, the Sport comes with it standard. The NAV is the only factory option over and above the basic car. I guess you guys down South have more choices to make.
acdii Report post Posted January 5, 2010 I like it once we are moving, but when sitting still, loses quite a bit. The Camry I had before had a JBL system that sounded better, but lacked a lot of the features the Sync/Sony has.

The system sounds so good (for me), that I'm in no hurry for the added sub. Ive only had my fusion a few weeks now. Thought I was going a lil crazy the other day when I was quesitoning if bass was coming from the door mids! Lol I feel less crazy now. However I can't wait to clean up the systems speakers. The suposed subs now dont have enough clean punch for me. After a cleansweep, a few speaker upgrades, and hooking up my 10. Im hoping for a wonderfully balanced clean system. Anyone know the specifics of what speakers are used in the upgraded sony system? Im uber curious and am having trouble researching it.
toyz Report post Posted April 20, 2010 Does anyone know if there is a "hidden" equilizer that could be used to direct more bass to the rear speakers?
Roccod Report post Posted April 21, 2010 Does anyone know if there is a "hidden" equilizer that could be used to direct more bass to the rear speakers? I agree with the lack of bass. Especially at higher volumes. The way the bass just fades away tells me that the speakers are underpowered(6x9 subs). The door speakers,(front and back) seem to put out more bass than the 6x9s. The door speaks really shake the heck out of the doors. Im actually thinking of getting a small amp and just sending more juice to the 6x9s and see what happens. I feel like there should be more bass coming from those bad boys. And a small amp can be tucked away without comprimising trunk space. The MKZ comes with pretty much the same speaker setup in THX form, but yeat it puts put more power. My best guess would be that the speakers are the same for both the Ford and the Lincoln system. So I think the extra power to the rear speakers should be safe. The Ford has 12 and the lincoln has 14 speakers. I think the front and rear center channel speakers in the lincoln are two way. With the ford's being 1way. Has anyone compared the Ford Sony system to the Lincoln THX?
