Ditty Report post Posted September 13, 2009 First a little back ground. It is the 07 Fusion SE (I-4) with an appearance package (black leather seats with red stitching). The problem: I noticed today, while cleaning, that the left side of the driver seat (the outside part, directly below the thigh), and the right side of the passanger seat (also outter part of the seat , directly below the thigh) is cracking. When you sit in the seat, the pressure exterted down --from my butt-- makes that part of the seat wrinkle...and on that wrinkle is where the cracks have developed. Now the damage is done, I fear I will have to fix it and lord knows how I will prevent future damage from resulting-- since anybody's butt makes that part of the leather wrinkle. I guess my question is: Has anybody else had this problem? (I have never had leather seats before). And I am supposing that having this fall under 'warranty' work is a snow flakes chance in hell. (Although on a two year old vehicle, you would think it would be). Just looking for thoughts out there. Thanks in advance. Ditty
