trunk light problem

:banghead: i tried to replace the trunk light with a blue led when i tried to replace the housing some exposed metal touched the trunk metal now it wont light up

 

was wondering where the fuse is located for this, checked the fuse panel under the steering wheel and didnt

see one for trunk light

 

pls help thx

Hi vanhalenfan. :D Did you check the Fuse Box diagrams in your Owners Manual? There are two fuse boxes. One in the passenger compartment and one under the hood. Look in your Owners Manual Index under "Fuses".

 

I don't have time at the moment to download and check your Owners Manual PDF, but you should be able to find the info in your copy.

i always look forward to your posts cause youre very knowledgable and usually right

 

unforunately i did check both and the panel under the hood is for big motors and stuff not really for a simple trunk light and the panel under the steering wheel didnt have one marked for trunk/baggage light i checked a couple fuses for coutesy lights and puddle? lights both of those were fine

 

guess ill have to do some more reading thanks for the help bbf2530

well after some more reading anf a lucky guess

 

i found that fuse #25 controls the trunk lighting and the rear map lights

 

thanks again to bbf2530 for making me read it again instead of just giving up all frustrated
