rfruth Report post Posted June 27, 2009 Going to see another vulture tomorrow or Monday (might get lucky this time) anyway my question is does the auto dimming mirror work even with the rear window tinted ? (auto dim has to see out the back, does tint interfere with this) ?
cngrevolution Report post Posted June 27, 2009 Nope. Mirror works just as it should. My windows are smoked hard and my mirror works like a champ! :)

(auto dim has to see out the back, does tint interfere with this) ? Hi rfruth. :D There are really two answers to your question: First, yes the tint will affect the function slightly. Since the rear window is tinted and not as much light is actually getting through to the mirror, the rear facing sensors will not dim the mirrir as readily as it would if the window was not tinted. Second, since the rear window is tinted and not as much light is actually getting through to the mirror, you will not be blinded by the light glare from the rear anyway. So bottom line is both factors will pretty much balance out and it will not matter. Good luck. :beerchug:
