AutoButler service?

Recommended Posts

I am still awaiting the arrival of my new FFH but have some little odds and ends I want to clarify before the final pick up.... so,

Has anyone had any experience with "autoButler" that ford dealers offer for the car? I was able to get my dealer to give me the $900 package for only $500 but still not sure if it is worth it or not. They say they will treat my leather and put a "clear coat"/wax over my car every 6 months for 5 years...

Never heard of this... It's not a ford service is it? It's more like an aftermarket deal right?

And it depends on your style... I like to clean my cars myself, so that is expensive and truthfully I can save a fortune by doing this work by hand and bying the products myself.

I wonder if it is something done by that dealer, as I have never heard of it either.

Seems expensive to me, you pay them $500 (disregard whatever they say the normal price is, that's to get people to think they are getting a deal) and they bring it in every 6 months and they have one of their lot assistants was the car, which is something you could do by yourself and probably a better job at too. As for the leather treatment, that could be the same guy with a bottle of armor-all for all anyone knows.

it is supposedly more than just a wash. It is essentially a detailing wax job I believe. I agree with the leather treatment that it is pointless, but it came with it. This is the website:

The more I think about it the less I want to pay for it but I am still weighing my options. Just trying to find someone who has used it before... can't find much info on line (which actually makes me more wary about it)
