f150harley Report post Posted May 9, 2009 I'm selling a new set of MSR 042 chrome wheels. I bought the wheels for my Fusion but had a baby and kinda need the money. The wheels are brand new in box, never mounted. they are a new style and look good. The bolt pattern is 5x115/5x110 with a +40 offset. I'm not sure all the cars they will fit but I know they will fit a Fusion. Asking $850 shipped,in the US

I'm not sure all the cars they will fit but I know they will fit a Fusion. Asking $850 shipped,in the US Hi f150harley. :D There is a slight problem: The Fusion/Milan/MKZ have a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Those MSR wheels are not a correct fit. Unfortunately, while a Fusion/Milan/MKZ owner may be able to squeeze them on with the 5x115 hole pattern, the fit will be off and they will run into problems in the long run (or even the short run). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Good luck. :beerchug:

SO YOU WANT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL. Hi f150harley. :D Several things: First, 5x4.5" and 5x114.3mm is the same size, the latter just being the metric conversion. However, 5x115 is not the same size. "About the same as 5x4.5" is not the proper size. 5x4.5 (5x114.3) is. Second, all anyone has to do is check the Tire Rack website (or almost any reputable wheel seller) to see that 5x115 is not the correct size for the Fusion. Third, using a 5x115 wheel certainly can cause problems, since it is the wrong size. Fourth, my answer was very polite, so you can skip the CAPS and yelling. It does not change the facts. Your information is incorrect, and can be verified by a few minutes research on the Internet or calling any wheel retailer. Now that we have both posted our information, anyone interested can double check first. I would hope you have no problems with someone double checking to be sure for proper fit before they buy from you. Correct? So please keep it polite. I have. Good luck. :beerchug:

Hi f150harley. :D Thank you for being polite. Then instead of you and I debating this back and forth, I would simply advise this to anyone interested in your wheels: Do not take the word of either of us. Check with a Professional tire/wheel shop in your area, or on the Internet (The Tire Rack, Discount Tire etc). Ask them if a 5x115 wheel is a suitable replacement for a 5x114.3 (5x4.5") wheel. Then follow their advice. In this way, you and I do not need to waste time debating who is correct concerning fitment. Good luck. :beerchug:
