Poll: Dates from ordering to delivery

Well some of you guys are doing better than me. I ordered mine on 4/20 and I checked with Ford and they can't even pull anything up. The guy told me when I gave him my dealer code, body code, and order number that it computer just shows an error. I was hoping to at least get a VIN # or at least something in the system to show that my order does exist.

Ordered on 3/26. Arrived 5/8. There is a date on the Sticker which says 4/13/09. Is this the mfg date?

The date on the sticker may be the Monday of the week your unit was scheduled to be built.

 

Have your service department run an OASIS and that should give you what Ford calls your build date (good to know if there were engineering changes that took place mid-model year.)

Does any one that ordered the last couple of days in March, have a vin number or schedule date yet? I'm actually interested in anyone's date ordered, date schedued, and date delivered. Trying to compare and get some idea what to expect.

I ordered mine on March 31. I have been told that it is "on the ramp" here in Atlanta on May18! I should be able to pick it up in the next day or two!!! It is an Ice Blue hybrid with a 501A option pack and leather seats.

My 2010 Fusion SEL AWD (in a stunning Tuxedo Black Metallic with Camel leather interior and genuine "wood like" woodgrain accents) was ordered on March 18th. I spoke with a Ford CSR this morning (May 20th) , who - by the way - was an excellent help, said that it was built, shipped, and "on/off" ramp (I can never remember how that works) with a scheduled dealer delivery date of between May 19 and May 26th.

 

Wahoo! I am so glad that I bought a Ford (my first American car in 22 years). I had considered a Camry, Malibu and Sonata - but the only one that was available in AWD was the Fusion.

I am a gadget guy (love Mac computers and I have an iPhone) and ordered this car with every gadget available! Sticker was North of $32,500, my cost was a tad under $30K.

 

Wish me luck - now if I only could find out where the train is.... hmmm... maybe I can google it?

Just got a call, my FFH arrived, and will be ready for pickup by 6pm. I'll be heading out right after dinner. I ordered mine on 3/8/2009. Built 4/29/2009. Delivered 5/21/2009.

Got VIN in late March / early April.

Car arrived at dealership in Michigan on May 8.

Ordered 502A package on March 31 (just under the wire for the $3400 tax credit!). Car built week of May 18th. Due to arrive in Philadelphia area on or about Tuesday June 2. This is only one week longer than the 8 weeks the dealer predicted - and that can be explained by the 5-day shutdown of the FFH plant in Mexico for the swine flu.

Odered my 502A Platinum White Fusion on 3/31/09 and it arrived at the dealer in Naples, FL on 5/26 and I picked it up on 5/27 after I had a spoil added to it! :happy feet:

I ordered mine on 4/11, and was just notified that it ready to be driven off the lot today :D Unfortunately, I'm currently a few states away and won't be able to pick it up until Friday...Oh the anticipation!!

Another poster said it might be the Monday of the week of the build, but I've seen dates on the stickers of 4/23, 4/28, 4/29, 5/6, 5/20, 5/28, 5/29, etc (not all Mondays). This tells me it could be the build date, and I also wondered if the 4-digit code to the left of that was the order in line on that build date, who knows?

I think if you order your FFH, you may get a "build week" date from your dealer. This is most likely the Monday of that week. the "build date," I think, is the date that the car was completed.
