cngrevolution Report post Posted May 5, 2009 Well some of you guys are doing better than me. I ordered mine on 4/20 and I checked with Ford and they can't even pull anything up. The guy told me when I gave him my dealer code, body code, and order number that it computer just shows an error. Grey Report post Posted May 10, 2009 The date on the sticker may be the Monday of the week your unit was scheduled to be built. Have your service department run an OASIS and that should give you what Ford calls your build date (good to know if there were engineering changes that took place mid-model year.) I should be able to pick it up in the next day or two!!! I spoke with a Ford CSR this morning (May 20th) , who - by the way - was an excellent help, said that it was built, shipped, and "on/off" ramp (I can never remember how that works) with a scheduled dealer delivery date of between May 19 and May 26th. Wahoo! I am so glad that I bought a Ford (my first American car in 22 years). I had considered a Camry, Malibu and Sonata - but the only one that was available in AWD was the Fusion. I am a gadget guy (love Mac computers and I have an iPhone) and ordered this car with every gadget available! Sticker was North of $32,500, my cost was a tad under $30K. Due to arrive in Philadelphia area on or about Tuesday June 2. This is only one week longer than the 8 weeks the dealer predicted - and that can be explained by the 5-day shutdown of the FFH plant in Mexico for the swine flu. I have looked at many of these stickers online for in-stock cars to try and determine if this is the build date, and my best guess is that it is, it's become a bit of a game trying to figure it out. Another poster said it might be the Monday of the week of the build, but I've seen dates on the stickers of 4/23, 4/28, 4/29, 5/6, 5/20, 5/28, 5/29, etc (not all Mondays). This tells me it could be the build date, and I also wondered if the 4-digit code to the left of that was the order in line on that build date, who knows? I think if you order your FFH, you may get a "build week" date from your dealer. This is most likely the Monday of that week. the "build date," I think, is the date that the car was completed.
