paxham Report post Posted July 3, 2022 New 2014 Fusion Hybrid Owner These are my top two issues right now. When I start the car I immediately get this warning "Collision Warning Not Available". I'm not even sure what this is, but I want it. When I try to use cruise control, I get this warning "Adaptive Cruise Not Available". This is very annoying. After years of driving a low power, noisy Toyota Corolla I am having trouble controlling the highway speed on my new car. It runs so much quieter and smoother than my Toyota, I have found myself going 85 to 95 mph without realizing it. Twenty five miles over the speed limit could cost my plenty, not including a hike in my insurance rates. Your advice on either of these two issues would be much appreciated. TIA, Paul H. Waldo Report post Posted July 5, 2022 The 2014 Fusion had an optional package that included a bunch of driver aid features, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision warning. Both of those depend on a radar system mounted behind the front bumper. If those warnings are the only ones you have, chances are there is an issue with that radar module. Sometimes it can just be a calibration issue, and I think there are ways you can even do that yourself (with Forscan or some other electronic tools), or you might be in for an expensive replacement module. The system also uses the camera mounted behind your rearview mirror, but if that camera were the issue, you'd also likely have warnings about the lane keeping system and maybe the auto-high beam system as well. In the meantime, there should be a setting under the "Driver Assistance" section of the left side cluster menu that lets you set the cruise control to "normal" mode. That means it won't slow down when you come up behind a car like the adaptive cruise does, but at least it would help you hold your speed on the highway. I look forward to trying this out and maybe keep me out of trouble with the highway patrol. I was shocked when I found myself driving 95 mph! Thanks, I'll let you know how it works out. I don't mind setting it to normal. I'm going to give it try next time I go out.

The radar unit behind the bumper could be damaged/ misaligned/ replaced but not programmed.

I'm considering going to a dealer and see if they can walk me through some things.
jpohlman Report post Posted August 1, 2022 You'll get this if there is an issue with the front radar unit or the forward looking camera by the rear view mirror and scanning for DTCs will find the problem. Plenty of info on the over on 2gfusions.
