Steeda strut tower brace with Redline QuickLIFT struts

Recommended Posts

Found Steeda's hood strut kit that works with their tower brace - a little more complicated to install, but nothing major.

I've used the tower brace and hood struts on my '15, '17 and now '20. Nice clean install, really. I did use their rear sway bar but the grease fittings rusted shut so couldn't check/add with them. Tossed it when I got rid of the '17 but it was on the '15 as well.

Haven't dealt with the Redline stuff.

Yup, but I'm in an area where salt and road crap easily mess them up. They were so messed up we couldn't loosen them to replace. I will tell you, the steeda sway bar installs nicely and uses Ford endlinks from the OEM unit. Def needs a lift for the work as I don't think this should be tackled in the driveway.

Up to you. The fittings did have dust caps - hardened plastic with a short lanyard to the fitting. They might hold well in Dali but here it ain't that good. But the bar did last 4 years.

I don't do too awful much on my cars ... if/when I trade them I wanna reset to OEM or close. I see you have an '18. Looked into a Fusion Sport grille for it? Black unit that replaces the 5-bar one. The Sport was MY 2017 and 2018 so it should fit your car.

Dealer install might run you some change tho. It was a bit over $800 for me on the '17 and I got a customer discount because the car I put it on was bought there. Parts DEpt pricing says the grille alone is $675 + tax. I can tell you the Sport grille will NOT fit the '20 (and maybe '19) ... different mounting tab Dammit.arrangement.

Haven't looked into grills yet - would be more inclined if mine was a Sport. Does it effect the active airflow control?

What brand of wind deflectors? Any issues with them? Can't stand the stick-on kind.

No issues on the grille. The cost I quoted was for the part, labor and 8% tax. Adjust accordingly and allow for 1 - 1.25 hour labor as based on mechanics manual. Mine took 45 minutes. The deflectors are in-channel units. Initial install, windows need to be up and closed for a day to let things seat in. After that, have fun! Had the WeatherTech ones on all my FFH cars.

Grill looks sharp!

Is that the Sport under grill?

Also leaning towards the WeatherTech brand deflectors.

Ok. I'm not sure if the Sport doesn't have a different lower valance/grill shape..
