2010 Mercury Milan battery help/sugestions

I have a 2010 Mercury Milan Premiere Hybrid with over 100k on it. Several months ago I suddenly started having battery power issues, however no engine light or failed diagnostic check.

 

The issue is this: the amount of "power" I have available is limited. I am able to drive in EV mode by very lightly pressing the gas pedal. I can pretty much drain the battery from full to empty. The capacity seems the same. Problem is when I try to accelerate a bit harder it will go out of ev mode. Basically the bar that goes up with acceleration doesnt go to far up any more.

 

I hope that makes sense. Im assuming the battery needs repair but maybe it needs to be calibrated or something.

Most Ford dealers have been reluctant to do this for perhaps reasons I mentioned in post #162. Ford probably put the software calling for HVB performance reduction after the hybrid warranty expiration on purpose.

 

Performing the HVB age reset restores normal EV function.
