2019 Fusion has shark fin antenna

Recommended Posts

I noticed a shark fin antenna on a Fusion recently and it wasn't shaped like mine from CD3. I went the Ford website and the photos of Fusions show the shark fin.

Yup - they put one on in '19 MY. Well, Fords version of a sharkfin, ennyhoo.

Here is what the shark fin antenna looks like on a '19 FFH HyTi.

I added a shark fin from cd3 on my 2017, I just really hated the way the regular antenna looked on the car.

Haven't had a car with a shark fin yet that can reliably pick up FM stations from any distance at all.

Granted, the fins look better. I'm not opposed to retractables in the A-pillar or rear quarter panel.

I have no issue with getting Sirius - except for the few dead spots I know of. Why not get a sharkfin loaner/rental for a day or two and experiment?

I've has fins on rentals, and back to back model years that switched - FM stations with the fins always fade out much sooner.

I would expect SiriusXM to be pretty much the same with either, even in urban canyons.
