Cobra348 Report post Posted October 17, 2017 Welcome to the club! I have found it is better to figure your MPG on gas receipts as the computer is off by a good margin. After 21K miles on my '17 the car still reads high by 2+ MPG. It does narrow as miles increase, but I've always used the receipts for mileage calcs ennyhoo. If you are not aware, the FFH does not have a donut/compact spare, but a "mobility kit" of fix-a-flat and a compressor. If you would rather have a spare tire, then this thread is the one you want. The dealer parts are the "Invoice part #" with the tread from TireRack. This method is around $500 or so. A cheaper way is a salvage yard - '13+ gas Fusion models. If you do that make sure you get the foam assembly unit, wrench, jack and tire. These will fit into the well where the mobility kit is. The retaining bolt holding the kit in is used to hold the spare in place. 1 FUSION665TANK reacted to this
lolder Report post Posted October 17, 2017 (edited) The odometers of Fusions have historically read low by about 2%. You can check it over a 20+ mile GPS route. The computer reads 4% ( 2 mpg ) high so the net is 2% or about 1 mpg. high. Edited October 17, 2017 by lolder 1 FUSION665TANK reacted to this

FUSION665TANK Report post Posted October 18, 2017 Driving style is speed limit 55mph 2 lane highways(50%), 65mph 4 lane interstates(20%), 25-40 mph City(30%). 170-250 miles a day on average. I run nothing but BP gas in all my Fords. Had 2013, 2015 Fusion 1.6L , 1.5L averaged 31.8 in those. I have found using same brand gas will give great mpg. None of my Fusions ever had a drop of anything but BP gas in them. Fill up to click off every time and divide total mileage by gallons to fill up. Overall average around 45.8 mpg . That's the type of driving that will get great mpg in these cars, mostly 55 mph and 25-40 mph. I find on trips on back roads where I'll drive 45 mph a lot, my displayed mpg is always over 50. FUSION665TANK Report post Posted March 25, 2018 Very convenient for rain.. Allows you to open windows without rain flying dripping into your car. Also cut down on wind noise when fully opened. Outside of that, I have always liked the aesthetic look they give. There are full y chromed $130+ or like what I found on Amazon $46-$60 that retain the chrome look framing the window with just the shield having a smoked glass look. These seem to closely match the tinted windows on the car. I have noticed with strong crosswind the noise is there with Windows up or cracked. I'm pretty sure that is true on any vehicle with strong crosswinds.
