Former Expedition owner Report post Posted December 29, 2015 I successfully installed the Sync 3.8 update a few weeks ago. I have an iPhone 5S running iOS 9.2 that I have used with my '13 HyTi since I bought the car. Here are some issues I've encountered: * Holding down the voice button on the steering wheel for three seconds will occasionally result in Siri ending instead of starting a session * After successfully connecting to and using Siri via eyes free, my car's audio system connects via Bluetooth to my phone, playing the Sirius app, even though I was not using Bluetooth for audio prior to my Siri eyes free session.. This has resulted in me unknowingly listening to Sirius through my phone instead of the Sirius subscription in my car, and incurring large data usage through my wireless carrier. * After starting my car, pressing the voice button quickly, and then stating, "Services" to access my Sync favorites will result in a message stating that Sync was unable to connect to my iPhone, even though the screen on MFT shows it is connected to my iPhone. Anyone else experiencing issues with v3.8 that did not exist previous to the installation?
ls97 Report post Posted December 29, 2015 Ever since the last update by Apple, many owner's are complaining about the Siri not working correctly. A Ford service rep on the C-Max board has posted she is aware of the concerns and the tech team is looking into it. It is the latest Apple update that caused the bug as far as who is being affected. stevebouff Report post Posted January 4, 2016 I found that if I'm listening to Sirius or the radio and I use "siri voice" to send a text, or use "siri", when I'm done, the "entertainment/audio" stays on "blue tooth audio" and doesn't return back to the source of what I was originally listening to. 1 Former Expedition owner reacted to this

Former Expedition owner Report post Posted January 31, 2016 I noticed this was posted on my owner.ford.com page: Posted Dec. 18, 2015: Some 2011 thru 2016 Ford vehicles with MyFord Touch and 3.8 software may have a symptom of Siri Eyes Free not working over Bluetooth properly with iPhones at iOS 9.2 software. Ford is currently working with Apple on a resolution for this. For the time being, having the phone plugged into the USB port allows Siri Eyes Free to operate properly. We recommend that owners of MyFord Touch-equipped vehicles have their phones plugged into the USB port to operate Siri. If plugging into the USB port causes Autoplay to start playing USB media, please note that this can be disabled, or enabled, using the process described in the owners manual. My owner.ford.com site still does not show that I updated to 3.8 or even that it is available for by '13 hybrid. Still shoes me "up to date" with 3.6.2. JimArch Report post Posted February 14, 2016 (edited) Same issues here, unexpected results, triggering Siri seems to just make the audio system start playing the phone audio, every now and then I can break thru that and get Siri to send a text. Nobody asked the car to start playing the phones audio, but there you go. I've tried this with the phone plugged and unplugged into USB, same unexpected results (for me). Nobody asked the car to start playing the phones audio, but there you go. What I've read is Ford and Apple know about this, and hopefully Apple will work a fix in the next update. Here is a workaround. You'll have to plug the iPhone in an open USB port in the glove box, then Siri will work as originally intended. I've tried this and it solves the Siri problem, it just makes it less convenient. I don't know whether the last IOS 9.2.1 update or the ford MFT 3.8 update broke it. If I am listing to the radio and hold the speak button the source will switch to Bluetooth but Siri does not work. 1 Former Expedition owner reacted to this

We recommend that owners of MyFord Touch-equipped vehicles have their phones plugged into the USB port to operate Siri.A thought occurred to me yesterday while fumbling to plug in my iPhone via USB cable, if I wanted the hassle of plugging into USB instead of using Bluetooth with Siri, I could just use the "Hey Siri!" command instead of the "Siri Eyes Free" button on the steering wheel. http://www.apple.com/ios/siri/
Goody Report post Posted March 1, 2016 Another quirk that came with the 3.8 update is the loss of the ability to use an address in your contacts/phonebook as a destination in Navigation. Prior to 3.8 you could designate an address in your contacts as a destination. It's now gone. Win a few, lose a few.

Well, I had my dealer put the 3.8 update on my FFHE about two months ago and my ford owner page still shows me as up to date as of Sep 2013...great idea ford, but execution is lacking.
