I'm having mixed reactions on this. I really REALLY liked the split wing grille look on the older one. But this new grill makes it look more like a Jag. I think I'll have to sit with it for awhile before I can give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down.

My only question is does it finally ditch Microsoft from My Lincoln Touch? As far as I'm concerned it's the Achille's heel of Ford/Lincoln. Get that fixed and it looks like my perfect car for cruising around the western US in our retirement.

I think Ford/Lincoln has stated all cars with MyTouch will have Sync 3 by 2017. Sync 3 is no longer based upon Microsoft.

I hate to say it but that grill is ugly it doesn't fit together with the headlights.

Personally I think it's a step (maybe two) backwards.

I guess it just goes to show, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like the look of the Fusion but would not even consider the current MKZ because of the funky split grill.

Your absolutely right and that's a good thing otherwise it would be boring.

Still for me personally I would go split before bulky ;)

I dig the Jaguar-esque grille. Hey, Ford used to own Jaguar at one point just like it did with Aston Martin :P

Under the hood, the Lincoln MKZ will have two engine/powertrain options: a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque with AWD and torque vectoring, or a 2.0L four-cylinder hybrid with 245 hp and front-wheel drive. Lincoln promises that both options focus on “smooth, refined power” and “quiet luxury.”

I like the new MKZ look. I always thought the MKZ was a notch below the fusion when it came to body styling, now they seem to be heading in the right direction in making the MKZ the more upscale looking car. Just my two cents.

Ummm, I've heard of retro styling but push-button gear shift? That's straight out of the '50s Chrysler products! To me, though it still looks like the exterior styling isn't finished on it. Mixed feelings.

The Z has had push button shift since the restyle in 2013. I love it. Cleans up the console for more useful storage. :)

In what way? I haven't seen an MKZ up close, but to me the layout of the FFH as it is now is pretty convenient. I can put my phone down under the CC panel and plug it in to charge if I want - leaving 2 cup holders and plugs in the console itself for anything else I want. Shift doesn't get in the way and in fact is perfectly placed for me to rest my hand if I choose.

The storage bin where the shifter would otherwise be is just much bigger than it is in normal cars. I've sat in an MKZ at the dealer. Nice looking interior and I do agree the extra storage space is useful, however I guess I like the feel of a traditional shift knob even more :)

I couldn't help myself and signed up with Lincoln for future updates, if I hear anything I'll post it.

I think she miss-spoke. I think she meant to say turbo. Both the high output V6 and I4 have turbos.

 

I found this quote in another article.

 

Behind it, you’ll be able to get a new twin-turbocharged. 3.0-liter V6 engine rated at 400 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque, making the MKZ the most powerful Lincoln in the brand’s history.

That’s for all-wheel-drive models, it’ll have 350 hp in front-wheel-drive MKZs. A 245 hp 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder will also be available, along with a hybrid MKZ.
