Added some grille mods to my 2013 FFH...hot or not? UPDATED

Recommended Posts

I just installed some chrome lower grille trim pieces as well as some chrome sticky trim where the fog lights would be if I had them. I know lots of folks are blacking their grilles out with plasti dip or replacing with mesh or billet but I kinda liked the chrome front and wanted to add to it and enhance the fog light area since I unfortunately don't have them. I didn't want to spend more than $50 and I basically achieved that. I would love to hear your thoughts if it looks cheesy or or bad a$$.

Update

I recently added the OEM chrome lower grille surround from the titanium package. I got it free from my uncle who is head of parts at my local Ford dealer. Installing was not easy...removing the old black trim was a bear. I also repositioned my license plate to the left about 4" which I noticed when I bought the car but finally figured out how to move keeping the original holes. Plus I added thicker chrome trim accents to the fog light area to match the grille more. Still not sure about all that chrome but with the color of the car I think it looks alright. Please let me know your thoughts.

Nice work.

Also, your license plate is perfectly readable... it's easier to use the "solid rectangle" feature in Paint!

I just ordered the 2 bars off of eBay. The directions said that it just goes over the black bars that are on there now. I think it completes the car. Not going to do the side pieces though, just my opinion, like it better without those.

I did the same lower plastic/fake chrome to my 2013 and love it. I have the fog lights so there is two pieces per side. Around $40 delivered nice. Very easy to install. Highly recommended.
