corncobs Report post Posted August 22, 2015 It sure is capable but there are a few things you can try. If you have email addresses linked to your message service MFT can't resolve that. Make sure you only have your phone number in the settings messages. Secondly did you reenable the text to speech option after paring your new phone? This has been discussed but I can't find the specific thread either. 1 GrySql reacted to this
securityguy Report post Posted August 23, 2015 Go into your iPhone 6 into your SETTINGS. Select BLUETOOTH. Select the SYNC by pressing the "i" in the circle on the far right. Turn ON the "Show Notifications". 5 corncobs, hybridbear, GrySql and 2 others reacted to this
Iwejun Report post Posted August 23, 2015 Thank you for that, it was so obvious that I overlooked it. 1 GrySql reacted to this
jeff_h Report post Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) Thank you for that, it was so obvious that I overlooked it. I also just got an iPhone 6 a couple weeks ago, the cheap Android phone I'd had for the past 4 years kept updating Google Maps automatically (was no way to stop the updates or disable/remove Google Maps), and for the past couple months when the maps would auto-update (twice per day) and put my cheap phone into "low storage" status and would not allow me to use text messages... only way to get adequate storage back was to uninstall the map updates, where the original maps would keep storage in OK status... So after doing that map uninstall dance twice a day for a couple months, I broke down and got an iPhone. Anyway, I just checked the above tip from securityguy (thanks for that) and the "show notifications" was not enabled between the new phone and Sync, but it is now.
