hybridbear Report post Posted July 12, 2015 Tectonic looks like Ginger Ale! Anyone else remember that color that was offered only for the first few months of 2013 FFH production, before Ford discontinued it due to low demand?

Cobra348 Report post Posted July 12, 2015 LOL..Blame me. You're right, that Ice Storm FFH photo was over 2 years old.I asked Robert if we could get a more modern and different picture of the FFH for the Theme photo, so he provided one. What flavor FFH do you want next time? :)MKZ and FFH in one (require Photoshopping?), but I'm good with any colors on either as long as they are not both the same color! Hybrider Report post Posted July 13, 2015 Tectonic looks like Ginger Ale! Anyone else remember that color that was offered only for the first few months of 2013 FFH production, before Ford discontinued it due to low demand? I have seen the Ginger Ale a few times in person. It is a green-tinted gold color. The Tectonic is more of a gold-tinted silver color, but not what I would really call gold, though it is close. These pics give you a sense of what the Ginger Ale looks like. As it goes with many colors, the look of the color depends largely on the lighting. Hybrider Report post Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) >Ice Storm< That phots looks quite a bit green on my computer monitor. Does it look that way in real life? Yeah, it does look a lot like that photo. Even though that photo is a bit deeper in color than the actual Ice Storm color appears in person, it is still pretty much that color, only just a little lighter than that photo above. See the other Ice Storm photo I posted at the top of this same page to see a better representation of what it looks like in person. After I had done a bunch of research online on the FFH, I was thinking I wanted to order my FFH in the Ice Storm color. I was actually very disappointed once I made it to the dealer's lot and saw that it was too much of a greenish-teal color for me. Ford's online FFH Build & Price tool showed the Ice Storm color to be basically a Baby Blue color, which is the color I really, really wanted on my FFH. But the actual Ice Storm is what I would call a Baby Teal, leaning towards the green side of teal. Here is what the Ice Storm incorrectly looked like in the Build & Price tool. And this is what I wanted my FFH to look like, but it was not possible to order an FFH in this Baby Blue color. So I settled for the Ingot Silver, even though I have never really liked silver cars much, since I liked the Silver much better than the Ice Storm. The Tectonic is a nice alternative, but it wasn't available in 2014 when I had my FFH built. Edited July 13, 2015 by Hybrider
mwr Report post Posted July 13, 2015 As the saying goes, "what were they thinking" to make Ice Storm have a greenish tint? To me, ice is silver with a bit of blue, not green. it was too much of a greenish-teal color for me.
