Speaker problem

Hello,

 

Recently I have noticed that my driver side speaker is really distorted and is staticy. This recently started and I just wanted to see if it was fully covered under my extended bumper to bumper warranty.

Do you have a titanium or an SE? Just wondering.

 

My SE speakers are fine, but this thread made me fear that eventually they could degrade and end up like those in my old 2008 Fusion SEL V6 - that was honestly the absolute worst stereo system I have ever heard in my life, and I am no audiophile (I can't tell the difference between my current car's stereo and the Mark Levinson surround sound in my dad's Lexus).

I have the se and I think I'm just gonna replace the speakers with kickers. Do I just take the old ones out and replace them then I'm done? Or is there more steps involved.??

Would be nice if a package could be made with Kicker speakers, amp and sub like they have for the F150. Then again, Kicker makes a dealer installed system for the trucks.

I think i am going to install all new speakers around the car ... does anyone have any good recommendations?? I would like to to plug and play so i dont have to pay to much!

Check Crutchfield, they are usually pretty good at getting the correct parts.

Had the same problem this winter and got the front two speakers replaced. Since two weeks, i got static in my speakers and, when the volume is over half, the bass makes the speakers look like they're broken again.

 

Are we many in the same situation?

Just got back from the dealer. They notice the hissing and the speakers rattling. Told me It's normal ( for the third time), that after listening to music often, parts get loose in the doors and rattles appears. Told them It's not a rattle, cause the problem comes on go.

But yes, I've rattles: the two side doors, trunk, dash, roof, my car IS a rattle on four wheels. And told that's normal too!!

 

I'm up to 13 warranty repairs under a year. And It's always normal! I guess I bought a cheap-made car and Ford's aware of it because It never seems to be and issue for them.

 

I love the car, the look, the handling. But it breaks all the time. Guess I should have bought an ugly and boring Japanese Hybrid, but at least reliable.

Sorry for my yerterday's post guys; I think I was getting car depressive haha.

I think I'll chage the speakers to solve this problem as It seems to be a repetitive issue for some of us.
