Cobra348 Report post Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) Bronze Fire with Terracotta! Nice combination and was my second choice! ;) I just got mine this past Tuesday ... Tuxedo Black and Terracotta. All sorts of nice things I'm still working with. There's a lot of good info here ... I particularly like the info on adding a donut spare (I followed the 16" instructions) and the factoid thread. One surprise was the cupholders in the door having a slight tilt toward the interior ... nice touch. Edited April 20, 2015 by Cobra348
CCalvinN Report post Posted April 20, 2015 Welcome Dan! When I started searching for my FFH I was looking for a HyTi in Bronze Fire with the terracotta leather. I couldn't find a single one nearby and ended up with Ruby Red and medium soft ceramic. Hope you enjoy your visits here!

Dano58 Report post Posted April 20, 2015 Thanks for all the welcomes ..As I said I am looking forward to learning more about this incredible machine ....dealer kept saying they were going to show me this and thatBut there are so many things to learn we didn't get around to them.I am beginning to grasp a concept that I read from a member in this forum....It is NOT an electric car all the power that makes the car do what it does comes from the gas engine.I think that once you understand that you approach driving differently. Also can someonepoint me in the direction of the "spare tire" thread I have tried looking for it and have come up with zilchWanna take some road trips in this beauty and don t want to do it on a can o air thanks
Dano58 Report post Posted April 20, 2015 B t w CalvinI saw the bronze fire at the dealership and knew it was the color that I wanted; but with my job I wear blacks slack all day, not good on a light interior. So I was searching for a bronze fire with charcoal interior .. I was checking with a couple of dealers in my area and there was NOTHING for miles .One dealer sent me a window sticker of a car that would be arriving to the area in a "couple weeks". Every time I talked to a different dealer they would come back with the same answer nothing but wait a couple weeks ... there is a car coming that fits what you want and more.I did and when the time came I got the exact car with the window sticker that the first dealer emailed to meAnd I couldn t be happier.... My total cost for all new parts was $540 including shipping and taxes where applicable. The tire was from TireRack (Continental CST-17) and the rest via local Ford dealer. Took only minutes to setup once the rim and tire were together.
Dano58 Report post Posted April 21, 2015 Thanks again for all the replys...makes a guy feel at home. And @corncobs it really is an enjoyable ride. So comfortable.... I know some talk about the SE luxury seatsBut my titanium terra cotta seats are like butter......you melt into them and fits like a glove. I read somewhere earlier that it was hard to get good gas mileage on short trips......what is considered a short trip ? I go 3.5 miles back and forth to work each way. all city driving stopping for lights and Lightrails etc. And on the way home the empower read out said 49.2 mpg. Brake score of 89% Sometimes I hit 51mpg ……others with the climate control on I have hit 39mpg. Anyway all better than the 3.8L gas guzzler that I stepped up from. I would get as low as 15 mpg ( I know I have always foot) and as high as 27 mpg.
Dano58 Report post Posted April 28, 2015 So okay... I am really enjoying the driving experience in this awesome machine ....I just did my first fill up with gas ...I used to spend some where around $60.00 to fill up my gasGuzzlers and would get between 220 to 230 miles on the tank..Today it was only 32.50 and went 330 miles.... sure that's only 35.5 mpg but ...dang much better than before and I am just getting the hang of it (been hitting a couple of 100% With the breaking coach.
