  1. So I'll keep it short as possible. 2014 SE Hybrid. Though I should get a newer car, I personalized this car and really like it's ride, smooth silent. On KYB gas shocks, tinted all around, leather interior. Cozy and comfy. It's just a very ideal car for my life and taste. About 54k miles ago I had the loud grind from transmission when gas engine was running. So under warranty replaced with new transmission from Ford with 2yr 24k miles 2 years ago (Its socal we drive A LOT) me under impression that the bearings in the new transmission are updated, lo and behold 54k miles later the same whine again started (while gas engine is running) and getting louder everyday. I'm a mechanic and my dad is a master mechanic for 50 years, worked professionally on CAT John deer to GM, MBZ and MGs, Marine etc...we did Crack one of these cases to see what's inside, it's simple complex genius. Easy to rebuild as long the parts are available. My question is, the whine is present when the gas engine is running, which shaft is it? Anyone has the shaft and bearing pack link? I've seen it around $500 somewhere on the forums but I don't know is this updated? Does anyone know where I could get updated reman transmission or get the parts to do it myself. It's a damn shame that such fine car has this stupid problem and nobody seem to have a final solution for this model. I live in Southern CA USA. Thank you in advance.
