So I’ve recently hit 70k in my 14 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE and I’ve had this loud rattle coming from the ICE when it starts cold. It happens when It tuns off too and it’s actually a lot worse and it lasts about 1-2sec longer. The sound is hard to describe. It sounds similar to somebody shaking a bucket of lug nuts aggressively. When the ICE is at operating temperature there is nothing I can notice out of the ordinary either. I’m worried that it’s internal engine damage because when I bought the car the coolant was a year past due. Any advice would be appreciated, I’ve been to the dealership twice and been told that my Car is running perfectly. Obviously not.

My daughter recently purchased a 2010 FFH. Great car and a great deal ($3,650 with 150,000 miles and some cosmetic paint damage). I am an avid shade tree mechanic and enjoy learning about different vehicles. I'm in the process of performing the 150K mile maintenance and am having trouble finding out how to drain and replace the hybrid system coolant. I've purchased the AllDataDIY subscription for this vehicle but it does not go into details on how to perform this maintenance action. Is it as simple as draining the hybrid drive radiator and poring in the new coolant into the hybrid drive coolant reservoir? Thanks! Bruce

The coolant tank for the electric motor is very low so wanted to purchase some. But even with the manual the guys at "AutoZone" could not tell me which one on their shelf would work in my car. The dealer is just quite a trip so would rather get locally if possible so can anyone tell me what is equivalent to coolant Ford uses for this car. The manual lists the below Genuine Ford Fluid VC-3DIL-B Orange Pre-Diluted Antifreeze/Coolant - 1 Gallon
