  1. Okay rfruth, Thanks for the info. Looks like I have a problem with this that I will have to live with. No way am I letting anybody touch this car unless I have to. These dealers usually break more than they fix! Thanks Again, Eneg
  2. Okay, thanks! Please let me know the outcome! Eneg
  3. Hi Buddyrich, Just wondering if you took the car to the dealer for this and if you got this resolved. I have the exact same problem. Headlights don't light and parking & tail lights remain on even when this feature is disabled. It's not the end of the world for me, but I am curious. . . Thanks, Eneg
  4. Nope, I just downloaded it and even the wording is exactly the same. Lemme ask you this: When you press the unlock button on the key, do your headlamps come on? Mine don't. . . Eneg
  5. Anybody here been able to do this? I've tried it a few times and have not been able to get it to work. I figure it has to be me, so is there a trick to get it going? The only thing that concerns me is that the manual also states that the car's headlights should be on when this feature is enabled. Mine are off! (I really don't care though, as I want all of the lights off anyway!) Thanks for any input. . . Eneg
  6. Hi Davidoo, First, you have to Google "Ford Fusion Hybrid Emergency Response Guide". They list the 2011's in the response. There is a drawing in there of the lever's locations. You'll need a flashlight to make it easier. When I first looked in there, after removing the liner, I saw 3 metal things that i thought were the levers. I tried to move them, but they didn't budge. When I shined the flashlight on them, I could see that they were screwed in. Anyway, once you know the approximate location of the levers, shine the flashlight in there and look UP. They are up and further back than they appear in the drawing. You will see, on each side, what looks like the bottom of a bolt. It's not a bolt, it's the lever! Just push them towards the side of the car and you will hear a click. You don't have to push very hard, as they move very easily. Lemme know how you make out. . . How do you like the car? Eneg
  7. eaglewatch, You sir, are da man! They are out! They are sitting on top of my washing machine waiting for my wife to come home from work so she can put them away somewhere (probably will never be seen again!) I can't thank you enough! A very easy fix. Just needed the knowledge that you provided. Thanks again! And to all of you other guys, thanks for your input too. Gonna get up tomorrow, take the car out for a spin, and enjoy myself!!!! Adios Amigos (till the next problem!) Eneg
  8. I'll try it this way. Here is the drastic difference between the 2010 & 2011 rear headrests. The 2011 is pushed down as far as it goes. . .
  9. Well, getting back to my original question: Is there anyone that can provide a schematic or instructions on removing the rear seat? No, I don't want to electrocute myself, but I would like a good view out of the rear window. . . Thanks, Eneg
  10. Hi lolder, Thanks, but I'm lost. I see the buttons that I think that you are referring to, but when fully extended, the headrests hit the roof of the car and I can't get them out. What am I doing wrong? Please be as specific as you can be because my head is spinnig with all of these new electronics! :) Thanks again, Eneg
  11. Okay, picked up my 2011 hybrid last night. Everything is fine so far, BUT, aren't you supposed to be able to see out of the back window? The headrests are blocking too much of the view. The car that we had test drove was a 2010 and I purposely checked that the rear window was not blocked. And, it wasn't. Anyway, to get to the nitty gritty: Has anybody removed their headrests, and if you did, cold you please send along instructions? I'm pretty sure that I could get the seat out, but I'm not sure that I want to play around back there near the battery. Any and all help appreciated. . . Eneg
  12. Hi, Am I correct in assuming that that was for a 2010?
  13. Brian, How old is the car? Can you post a picture?
  14. Geez, you consider Rayo250's post a rant? Really? To spend over 30k on a new car, only to have it in for repair for 5 weeks isn't that great of an experience! That's the only thing that worries me about these cars. I have one on order which I'll probably get in a month or so. I really don't think that these idiots at the dealership are capable of fixing any problems with the electronics in these new cars! Just have to hope to get a car that is reliable. If not, whew!
  15. You can get a better battery, with a better warranty, for less money, at an auto parts dealer such as Autozone. . .
  16. I don't think that there are any 2011 Sterling Gray w Med light Stone +502A Package. At least not anywhere that I have looked! I ordered one on Sunday. Should have it in 6-8 weeks. Good luck to you. . .
