  1. They even detailed my car for me. I was quite shocked. I'm so happy it looks like it is supposed to now.
  2. Got my car back today. The front bumper looks great now! They did an excellent job fixing the damage. The paint matches perfectly too.
  3. I guess I should have explained what is going on.. It seems that sometimes when it is very hot outside the AC will work fine and other times not blowing cold enough air to cool off the cabin. I always have the temp set at 72 degrees but some days it just either gets too cold or not cold enough. The window tint I have blocks out 95% of the UV rays so maybe it's just me feeling the rays coming through the front window and other times not feeling it when I'm not driving toward the sun. This is my second vehicle with automatic temp. I had this car a couple of weeks before getting the windows tinted and didn't notice the problem. So it may just be me feeling the sun as it shines through the non-tinted windows and other times not feeling it. I'll have to keep an eye on it. My car is in the shop right now getting the front bumper repaired because the dealer screwed the license plate bracket on severely off centered. Fortunately they are paying for it and provided me with a rental car, actually a Chevy Silverado truck, to drive until it gets out of the shop hopefully this afternoon.
  4. I had my windows tinted shortly after buying my 2010 SEL Fusion. Now it seems like the automatic climate control acts strangely when sunlight is coming in from different directions. I did not have the windshield tinted and I'm assuming that black nub in the middle of the defroster vents is the temp/light sensor for the AC. Are there other sensors that my be getting blocked from the tint on the other windows? Is there a way to reprogram the AC for windows that are tinted?
  5. Funny thing is I actually own a plastic welder. I used it on my last car after an accident and it worked really well. The best thing about the dealer doing this repair is that they are guaranteeing it for life. So if it fails in the future they will repair it again at no cost to me. I'm just happy these idiots are willing to take responsibility for the obvious mistake they made. In my State, Utah, a front license plate is required. Being the rebel that I am I haven't had a front license plate on the past 3 cars that I've owned. Even if I decided to put the plate holder on the car that would require 2 additional holes in my bumper. The original holes are so far off I'm not sure that if I put the plate holder back on it would cover the original misaligned holes. At any rate I'm happy they are willing to try and fix the problem.
  6. Good news everyone! I took my car in for the 5,000 mile oil change and wheel rotation and talked to the service manager and they are arranging to fix the license plate bracket holes! They are even going to get me a rental car for the time of the repair. They say they are going to fusion weld the holes and then respray the bumper cover and guarantee it for life. The service manager talked to the guy who installed the license plate bracket originally and he was totally embarrassed about it and apologized. Below is how the holes look now with center line for comparison.
  7. I'll bet since you have the hybrid version Ford did that make the car more energy efficient when there isn't anyone sitting there. On my 2010 SEL it works whether someone is sitting there or not.
  8. I got my 2010 Ford Fusion SEL about two weeks ago and didn't even notice how off center the front license plate holder was until I removed it. Now I have the two mounting holes, which I don't mind but they are off center as well! Now what do I do? Is there anyway I can get the dealership to fix these holes? You can see the off center holes below.
  9. I went on a road trip yesterday in my 2010 SEL and my friend plugged his black berry phone into the USB port of my car then I told SYNC "USB" from the line in menu and it read all his mp3's and started playing them with artist and title on the radio display for the songs that had the correct info in them. The display showed SO: Title of song then AR: title of artist.
  10. My front license plate holder was held on with two screws. I don't mind the holes but what really pisses me off is that the holes aren't center because the screwed the plate holder on off center! WTF? After Plate bracket removed.
  11. I just got my 2010 Tuxedo Black Ford Fusion about 2 weeks ago. I've discovered that both the power outlets remain on after the car is shut off. I really hate having to unplug accessories that may drain my battery if left plugged in. Does anyone know if there is an option to have them turn off or am I going to have to rewire them?
  12. I think you have to change from under the wheel well. I remember seeing something about that in my owners manual. Mine is a 2010 SEL so who knows on the hybrid?
  13. I just had my 2010 tinted with Formula One Pinnacle tint since my car is Tuxedo Black I figured I would go with the best tint I could find. Pinnacle Series - FormulaOne High Performance automotive film I can't believe the heat reduction of this film! You can feel the sun coming through the front window compared to the sun coming through one of the tinted ones. Huge difference in heat. I had all the windows except the windshield done and I'm probably going to go back and have that too as well. Mine cost about $350 to tint with this high performance stuff. Regular tint would have cost $179. Before Tint After Tint Plus I love the look with the new tint.
  14. I love the backup camera on my 2010 SEL it is the one that pops up in the rear view mirror. I also like how it super imposes the lines so you can perfectly backup into a parking stall. Comes in very handy because I have to park in a cramped parking garage everyday.
