  1. Thank You xmech2k for your reponse. I don't have an appointment to get the car fixed until August since the body shop is so busy. I guess I will have to not lock the car until it's fixed. I will have to check out the manual. I should have done that before I posted. Thanks again!
  2. We have a 2010 FFH and recently the horn starts to beep by itself and I had to use the panic button tonight to turn it off. This might be because my wife recently had an accident and hit a deer. The hood was damaged and the grill. The claims adjuster opened the hood to check on the damage and closed it but it is pushed back toward the windshield due to the deer strike. I think this might be causing the horn to go off but I am not sure. We will not be taking the car in to get fixed for a week or so until they get the parts. They told us we can drive the car but if the horn keeps going off by itself the neighbors are going to get sick of it very quickly. Can anyone tell me if there is sensor under the hood as part of the anti theft system which due to the accident could be causing this to happen? Another pecular thing is when you lock the doors the horn beeps twice when I believe it only beeped once before the accident. I am not sure what is going on. Any ideas on what is happening would be appreciated. Thanks,
  3. I just went out to check our car and ours doesn't have it either.
  4. Well my wife just told me she had our second glitch. My wife drives the car more than I do so she gets to see what is happening more than me. She told me that the volume on the radio has by itself gone to max volume and she has to turn it down. This has occured more than once. Has anyone had this happen to them?
  5. Please let us know if after you have the brake flash done if that helped. Thanks,
  6. We got the car in January. We haven't taken any long trips yet but are planning one this weekend so I will have to check it when we get back. I would think if it needed to charge it would have done it by now. But who knows!
  7. I was washing the car today and also raised the hood for the first time since we got the car and found that the battery color is red. Should I take it to the dealer to have the battery checked? It appears based on this post that it doesn't matter.
  8. Knock on wood! We haven't had any other glitches since the first one. Everything has been fine since we had the brake reprograming done. We will be taking a trip south over Easter so I am interested to see how the car handles and the comfort level on a long trip. Have you had the brake reprograming done to yours?
  9. I don't know if this was a hoax or not but I just want to add this comment. Being a little older I have been in the situation with older vehicles that I have had to (what they call pump the brakes) to get the brake pedal to firm up and stop the car. Now a days there are anti lock brakes and you are only suppose to press firmer on the brake pedal and let the computer do the work. Also in the old days I have had to (tap or goose the accelerator) in order to get the carburetor un stuck and reduce the RPM's of the engine. Anyone else remember having to do this? Could this fellow have been doing both to try to stop the vehicle? Only a thought! That would account for possibly the 250 times.
  10. It appears by your post that Ford is going to work a deal with you on a trade for another vehicle. Is that because they cannot determine what is wrong with your vehicle so they are going to try to make you happy by offering you a deal on another Ford vehicle? What made you decide that any FFH built prior to November are candidates for glitches and that if you get another one that is built after December the chances would be less or non existent? Is that based on comments on this forum or comments by Ford themselves? To answer your question I really like the FFH and would suggest you try another one. I say this not knowing what Ford has told you so far about yours. Altimately you have to be happy with the vehicle and based on all you have posted I am not sure you would be happy with another FFH even if it was perfect. You might always be listening or looking for that first glitch. Good luck with your decision.
  11. It appears Ford is going to do something for you and I am glad for you. Can you tell us what if anything Ford has determined is the problem with your car? I would be interested in knowing especially since my car was built prior to yours.
  12. I'm not trying to be wise but does it cover anything? :)
  13. We are one of those new to Ford and my wife and I are extremely happy with the FFH. Since I have joined this forum I have already learned a few things about the car. :D
  14. Had Customer Satisfaction Program 10B13 (Brakes) done today. There is no difference in the feel of the brakes. My wife mentioned the glitch with the display and of course the service manager never heard anything about this yet. We will just have to wait and see if it happens again.
  15. Jon, Thanks for the reply. Do you happen to know what the TSB number is?
