Agreed. I run Pandora on my android LG Optimus and stream it to the sound system. Certain Sirius stations are almost an exact match to your custom stations on Pandora. For example, for Sirius 40s on 4, create a Pandora station and "seed" it with Tommy Dorsey. For Siriusly Sinatra (75), Pandora "seed" Frank Sinatra. For Sirius Real Jazz (72), on Pandora enter your jazz artist of choice. And so on... Think about using the AC jack (I have the FFH) and keep your phone charged while it performs some of these battery-draining activities. All of this said, keep in mind that a 6 month trial Sirius subscription is really two subscriptions, Radio and Travel Link. Travel Link includes your traffic overlay, weather, and other info available through Sync. This thread has been talking about radio, but Travel Link also hangs in the balance of the decision about whether to keep Sirius or not.

Same, had mine done early (ok, not by me). Then around 8900 miles it started suggesting that an oil change was coming due. At 10K miles the suggestion turned into a warning, and that's what I have now. What did we forget to reset? Thanks, Tim

"Add Memo" Feature - How to access list?

Yep. I read the manual and came up dry. Did I miss something? Thx... Tim -
Your recommendations are very helpful, thanks. When I drove my FFH 2010 off the lot I didn't realize that they had set the BASS and TREBLE to +4! Initially it was amazing, but as you pointed out, fatigue sets in. So I too have been fiddling with the settings. I drive about 2500 miles/month, use all of the music sources, and concur with your settings at this point. Thanks again, Tim

I'd rather not test this scenario out, but I am wondering what the FFH does if the car truly runs out of gas? I'm assuming that it will still "turn on". But upon pressing the accelerator gently, will it move? (assume flat terrain). If it does move, will it continue to move once it reaches the point of acceleration that would normally cause the gas engine to kick in? If the answer to all of these is "yes", then assuming a good charge on the battery, the question would be how many yards (or maybe how many seconds) the car would operate in this condition? Would it be enough, for example, to reach the shoulder of a road, or reach a ramp or turnoff? Thanks, Tim

I just picked my 2010 FFH from the dealer after allowing them to have it for three days. During this time they test drove the car at various points of the day and under various conditions, checking for the brake squeak. Happily, they finally tracked down the squeak and have presumably fixed it! Here is what my service report states: CHECK AND ADVISE CUSTOMER STATES INTERMITTENTLY WHEN BRAKING. BRAKES MAKE A LOUD SQUEEKING HAPPENS WHEN BRAKING AT LOW SPEEDS LIKE COMING TO A STOP SIGN OR WHILE CRAWLING AT LOW SPEEDS. REAR PAD SHIMS RUBBING. MO 9072 ROAD TEST VEHICLE. VERIFIED CUSTOMER CONCERN. PERFORM COMPLETE BRAKE INSPECTION. R&I REAR CALIPERS. FOUND SHIM ON REAR PADS LOOSE. RESECURED SHIMS AND ROAD TEST FOUND OK AT THIS TIME. It did not squeak on the way home from the dealer. That's a good start! Hope this info helps someone else. Regards, Tim

Neighborhood driving, just before coming to full stop they will squeak (very high pitched). Letting off the brakes to crawl forward and then reapplying them to again come to a stop will squeak. Coming to a more aggressive stop from a faster speed will not squeak. Thanks, Tim

At 8000 miles, mostly highway driving, my brakes have developed a consistent squeak in slow braking situations. I took it to the dealer once so far and they could not reproduce it. I'm going to take it again and be clearer about the conditions under which it squeaks. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Thanks, Tim

I was wondering if anyone could provide info about the "'black box" in the 2010 FFH? What all does it record? Just curious... Tim

Factory Sirius Radio sounds bad
cdswebinc replied to bauckman's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
So it seems that we agree: tinny, compression related, and it is Sirius (not the FFH 2010 Sony sound system). I especially mind it on the Sinatra station, 40s on 4, and Real Jazz - any piece that has a big band with screaming trumpets. Do we have any remedy from Ford or Sirius? Thanks... Tim
