Today I traded my Fusion for a 2012 Camry XLE Hybrid. Nothing wrong withe Fusion, It was a trouble free car. Just wanted a change.

What arguement? I never said you had to put CDs in there. My point was that they will fit. A standard 51/2"x 413/16" CD case fits in mine. If you do a search you'll find that over the last two years more than one owner has mentioned that they thought the reason for the slot was CD storage.I was wondering how long it would take for someone to start that argument.
Did i hurt your fillings, I put gloves in mine. And no where does it say that is for CD's. It's for whatever someone wants to put in it, and for that matter my CD's will not fit in there.
This site was so nice and peaceful for a while looks like it's going to get ugly like the Fusion forum it only took a couple of you to ruin the peacefulness. It was nice while it lasted.
-
That's for CDs.They even have a small area on the side of the compartment to place the gloves.
-
And when's the last time anyone has put gloves in it?There's a glovebox?
-
LOLAll glovebox doors in all cars close outward in relation to the occupant. Outward is away from you inward is toward you. But seeing some of your other post this does not surprise me that you are so confused.
-
This will take some getting used to. I never knew my glovebox door closed outward.Inward means toward the interior the same as yours. And I'm sure you knew what I was talking about. It's much better said than down and out. Doesn't take away from the fact that a light would be useless.

BuddyRich wants the lights on.
Musicman doesn't want the lights on.
Which one is Ford supposed to listen to?
+1. Still wonder why it got changed for 2011.

Hello everyone--I just bought a new (left over) 2010 SE M6. Basic SE, no options. That's just fine by me. But I'm a little disturbed that the car has no side moldings on it at all. Those body sides seem to be just asking for a bunch of door dings. (And mine is that dark Atlantis Green, so it would really show)
I've seen a couple of different aftermarket side molding kits available. Anyone had any experience with these?
I got mine from Sportwing.com in September 2009. The color matched perfectly and I've had no problems with them. A body shop installed them for me. I've used their moldings on three cars.

Hi, one of the first things I did was change my wiper blades.
I shopped around and decided on buying the PIAA silicone blades
on the net. They are pricey but very good......don't forget a very
important element for a clear / clean windshield without juddering EVER
is to have it treated with Rain/X or Aquapel treatment it will prolong the life
of your blades X 3. PIAA Super Sporza Silicone w/Spoiler Wiper Blades (Black)
Here is the link, they also look great with the spoiler like I bought.
IMO Rain- X is crap. It leaves a film which is very hard to get off when you want a very clean windshield. Of course opinons are like noses, everyone has one.

Since I picked up my Fusion last year, I've noticed that the passenger side wiper does not park where the windshield registration mark indicates it should. Instead, it parks about 1/2 - 3/4" above the mark. I mentioned this to my SM when I went in for an oil change and he said that was the normal park position, (several other Fusions in their lot confirmed this). I also found the same to be true at other local dealers. However, I have noticed a select few where the blade parks in the "proper" position.
The wipers work just fine; I'm just a detail guy so this kinda thing sticks out in my mind since I first noticed it. Anyone know how to adjust this? I can live with it if I have to, but if there's an easy way to correct this, I'm all ears...
Inthe past you simply took/pulled the wiper arm off the post and put it back where you wanted it. If the dealer won't do this a windshield replacement shop should know if it can be done or do it for you. My passenger side is about 1/8" above the mark and the driver's side is right on it.

Here's a report on a theft system that utilizes relay technology: http://eprint.iacr.org/2010/332.pdf. to steal smart cars.
Link doesn't work.

The reading won't be accurate the minute you start the car. The car usually takes a few minutes to read the temperature. Leave the auto alone, don't change it to heat because it won't warm up any faster in heat instead of auto.Hope I got this in the right place. I have a 2009 Fusion SEL 3.0. This has happened twice so far. I'm in nebraska where it is cold weather right now. Got in the car last night and started it. The
outside temp was reading 58. I was parked in a parking garage and guessed that the temp was below 20. I hit the auto setting with the inside temp to 80. The display came on and said A/C was
on. I shut a/c off and turned on heat. After a few minutes of driving the temp was reading 18. Has this happened to anyone? I don't know if this a problem that should be fixed or if it is a common
occurance. Hope someone can shed some light on the subject.

I see a few people on the forum really liked the Bosch Icons so it's nice to see you had a positive experience with a Bosch wiper blades. i did see the ones you mentioned but I like the look of the icons.
It still boggles my mind that a a brand new car has a problem with such a silly thing,...
Okay y'all don't turn on your wipers until it starts raining. lol

Hello. I have A 2010 Fusion Sport and I put HIDs in. A huge difference from the stock setup. I'm very happy with them. Quick question, are both headlights suppose to be perfectly aligned or is the passenger side suppose to be a dop lower?
I've noticed that the passenger side is a tiny bit lower. I am curious before I reseat the bulb. If this is normal, I'll leave it alone.
Thanks.
AFAIK they should be at the same level. I've always set mine that way and the instructions in the OM say to set at the same level.

All they really do is keep a few rock chips from happening. Nothing is going to keep your car clean in the salt/snow season.
I'm glad we don't have that season here.

Good grief - in the 1st printing it's on pages 43-50. Just look in the index or the table of contents. It's all in there and you don't need a subscription to the site I posted. Go to the main site - http://www.motorcraftservice.com then click on Owner Guides in the left hand menu. Select 2011 Fusion and pick the manual you want to view - 1st or 2nd printing.
The page numbers I listed were from the 2011 Hybrid manual, I didn't think about the non-hybrid being different. Bad mistake. Sorry about that. Look on pages 43,45,46, and 50 in the 2011 non-hybrid OM ist printing. Info is also on page 72 of the 2011 Navigation supplement printing 2.

OK, I don't see any controls to turn on feet heater vents/blower! I am perplexed that there are no feet heater vents, all of my other cars had them!? Am I missing something or just going blind?
If you don't have navigation,, look at paragraph 8 on page 68 of the OM. It's explained there. See HVAC controls diagram on page 67 and find the #8 button. If you have navigation, the control location is explained on page 72.

What's a "GOV Vehicle"? Government-owned? In any case, your problem sure gives me some pause about the FFH, which I'm weighing against the Camry hybrid as our next sedan.
If you go to a Camry Hybrid forum you'll find discussions about their 12V batteries dying too.

I need to switch trunk lids and want to keep the lock cylinder that matches the doors. In the old days, you removed a little metal clip that held the lock mechanism in place. Not anymore. My 2009 Fusion has two odd looking nuts that hold the mechanism in place. There is a threaded stud in the middle and it does not move as I turn the nut - yet the nut doesn't loosen. I'm thinking that maybe these don't need removed and there is another way to replace the cylinder. Anyone have any knowledge on this topic?
I guess by now you've taken the problem to the dealer, a body shop or a locksmith and have a solution. Please post what you found.
-
Yes I know it's probably in the manual, but do you jump start the car with jumper cables like a normal car battery?
Instructions are on pages 250-254 of your OM. You jump start it the same as any car except for one item I've never seen before. You are to turn on the heater fan in both cars to prevent electrical surges.. If the battery is disconnected there is acomputer relearning procedure that is needed after reconnecting the battery. I've never had mine jumped but did have the battery replaced. .
-
So what can you do about that? It sounds like a serious problem.
This sounds no worse than having a dead battery on a non-hybrid that won't start the car because the battery wasn't charged. . The article doesn't say how the car was driven or what condition the 12v battery was in. I don't think anyone on this forum has reported a similar problem.

I wonder if the bar will fit my car. I think it may not clear the coolant reservoir for the transmission. I've sent Steeda three e-mails asking if it will fit and they haven't bothered to reply. I guess sometimes their customer service isn't too good.
I finally gave up waiting on an e-mail reply and called Steeda. It won't fit a hybrid.

I have a 2010 Black SEL and was wondering if the splash guards help at all with side body spray from water. Now that it's winter up by Lake Michigan my car stays clean for about an 5 minutes so I didn't know if anyone out there can let me know if it's worth the money for at least front guards.
Mine have kept the body panels looking good.

I feel that the STB really helps when going into turns, it feels like less body roll. I'm quite happy with it and would recommend it. Not sure if the Mazda6 will fit bar though.
