  1. I searched this topic, found a lot of posts and a lot of confusion about it. Ford services are not helping. My daughter gets there way too often. They want 8000km oil change intervals. I suggest following a car counter. I drive Honda Odyssey and wait until car tells me that oil change is needed. Our FFH has 32000 kilometers (20000 miles) now and we need to establish proper intervals. What do you suggest? Is car computer oil warning programmable or it is set in factory? Is it really a counter or it actually monitors quality of the oil? I had that in BMW 530.
  2. you are right about one thing and that is after you get used of HIDs everything else doesn't quite measure up

    Towing FFH

That is how I found it when showed up to pick it up. I can't tell if they had it on dolly or something before I showed up.
  5. Hi there, I am mad as hell. Left my beautiful FFH on plaza and tow truck took it away. Apart from paying 276 bucks to get it back when I got to the impound car was still hooked on the truck, nose down, rear end hoisted by lift bar. They drove it like that for about 10-14 kilometers. Normally, car was in "P" and they took it away like that. Could they damage anything like that? My daughter drove it back and she said that she didn't feel anything. Should I take the car to Ford service?
  6. I am wondering if anybody took his/her FFH to shop that installs extra acoustic insulation? Maybe even like do it yourself project? How much did it cost and what kind of results di you achieve?
  7. After I picked up my FFH I took it to Tint King for professional windows tinting. I also added clear leading edge protection for good measure. Anyway, I took dark rear windows and lighter (regulated by law) front side glass panels. Car looks better and definitely helps keep it cold during hot days. You should do it too. It is small price to pay for more comfort.
  8. 5.5 l/100 km (Canada), 25000km so far. Comes out to about 42 MPG. This means cold winter and now hot summer, mostly highway driving and light foot on the pedal by my daughter
  9. jeff_h thanks for post. We have our FFH for 7 months now and still love it. It was right decision. In the meantime a lot of things happened, like Toyota sticky pedals, recalls, even Lexus recalls, JD Powers best quality for FFH and more... On bad note can't regret enough for not taking NAV. It was 2000 bucks more. Paid 37.4k for car.
  10. Cost? Back lights, position lights, turn signals ? Can't be that much.
  11. Talking about juice drawn it beats me that Ford didn't do obvious, easy thing like LED lights? Many cars that are not even hybrids have that long time ago.
  12. I saw pictures on Internet of Prius front brakes brand new and after 100k km (60k miles). Same thing, some dirt but no wear! I am fully expecting same results with FFH. I would say that it represents savings of about 1500 bucks on 100k ride.
  13. I got year for about 90 bucks and pretty happy about it. Love to listen SAT radio. That is only radio where you can select your favorite channel in Toronto, drive all the way to Florida without having to search every 20 minutes because of lost signal. I don't think travel link would be any beneficial but music definitely is. Can't regret enough for not taking NAV though.
  14. 36,400.00, October last year, Toronto, Canada, no NAV
  15. I am happy to report that you are right and I was wrong. Book really says that and we didn't see that message on display. Book even says how to setup different levels of "Change oil soon" warning. What can I say, it's a beauty! .... I suck, FFH rules! Still can't get over my mistake not to take NAV ...
  16. My daughter has FFH from October last year. She is driving it 150km every day for work and generally speaking likes it much. Today she went for first service. Instead at 8000km she hit 13000 and yesterday I asked about first service and found in the book that we are quite late. She says: "why car didn't tell me?" Might be poor excuse but really why?? All cars we have or recently had do that. BMW, Jetta TDI, Honda ... For example my Odyssey checks oil quality and that info goes from 100% to 15% which can be checked at any time in display. At 15% message pops up telling you that service is needed and it tells you what kind of service (like B2). It continues to count down to 0% with specific pop-up warning every time you start the car. So FFH being so advanced car doesn't have that? Strange. We don't have model with NAV but still there are plenty of displays around to show important info about service needs.
  17. Interesting, our FFH is due for first service, I wonder what will they do with it.
  18. 8000 km (5000 miles), 6.5l/100km or 35 MPG, not bad, nothing to write home about either. Cold outside (Toronto, Canada), snow everywhere.
  19. Sirius or XM I think it's great! All you can hear on local stations are commercials all day long, quite annoying ...
  20. Strange, you would expect Ford to trumpet FFH at every opportunity, specially at major car shows. I don't think that sales is through the roof so you don't need to promote product everywhere.

    NAV install?

Thanks for link, will look into this one closely

    NAV install?

Now this is scary, makes me give up even before starting. I don't think I need that NAV that badly. Zack
  23. Hi there, Made huge mistake by not taking NAV. I am in Canada and would like to get NAV installed. I really want original FFH one, not aftermarket one sitting on top of the dash. Wouldn't mind ordering it from USA. Any suggestions? Maybe some place sells a kit? Thank you, Zack
