  1. Just wanted to add my great experience with the "flip Key". I ordered the flip key off e bay about 1 week ago. It came today. First I programmed the lock-unlock which worked perfectly the first time and took about 5 minutes. Then I went to the dealer because some of you have said the dealer would cut the key for free. The dealer could not get the blade into the key machine so I took the key head off as some of you have described and the dealer cut it for free. Then I programmed the transponder. It also worked the first time. All told took less 30 minutes to get fully operational. A question was asked about does it hang down or interfere with leg space? Again no problem. So the experience so far has been great. However one question I have is the transponder and the car have to have the same code or the car won't start. If Welly's fob is not as reliable as the Ford OE fob and the transponder fails you might not be able to start the car. Is anyone carrying an OEM fob just in case?
  2. Ford Sync system uses the mic in the rear view mirror and FFH has a rear view camera in RVM. Do you have to give these up with the new mirror?
  3. Please let us know how it works for you. It would be great if you could take a couple of pic's on the install. Thank you
  4. I got my FFH X-plan from the dealer's lot.
  5. Got my FFH on June 23rd X plan. Dealer was happy to do the deal.
  6. Don't know if this helps. A friend of mine bought a Prius here in Michigan. In the winter he says the car is boarderline dangerous very bad on snow and ice. When it snows he is afraid to drive it. I have had a FFH for 1 month and I love it. I have bought Honda's in the past and this is every bit as nice as the Accord if not nicer. First tankful 40.6 mpg.
  7. Other than looking on e bay at a Fusion visor and an MKZ visor all I can say is that the connectors look the same. Since there is already 12 V in the lighted mirror I imagine that the homelink picks up power internal to the visor rather than a separate connector. From my experience in automotive companies like to keep things as common as possible. As to color match his MKZ and my FFH both have the light color interior and (to me) the color looks identical except that his mirror has the mounting bracket in tan and mine is in chrome. If I see a mirror come up on ebay I'll give it a try.
  8. I have noticed several people commenting the the FFH's lack of homelink. I am also disappointed about this. Two days ago I was riding in my friend's 2009 MKZ and noticed his driver visor mirror was exactly the same size and mounting as the FFH. His visor has homelink. I have noticed that you can buy an MKZ visor on e bay for around $45. Has anyone tried replacing the FFH visor with the MKZ to add homelink?
